I really wish this could be re-released. It is as fresh today as it was back in the day. Great song, great arrangement, and great performance. Love it.
im singing this song whole day...unluckily dont have the voice for it..:(((i think its really hard to sing this song and the voice of tammi is reallyyyy extremely special:)
I just realized today that I really do love this version more than Stevies, I love his, but her voice and instrumentals are just beautiful to me. I think this should've been a hit single for Motown. Really to bad. But this song is a jewel to me
One of the all-time great Motown arrangements and a riveting performance by a great artist. No one talks about it anymore but originally Tammi was considered to come into the Supremes when Diana left. In fact, she did some test leads and I think everyone thought it could prove a great match. But then she became ill. In the end, however, the world did get a Terrell for the Supremes, a truly unique and outstanding talent the years has proven a genius.
Thanks for posting, I love motown i think it was a truly golden era when singers were real singers. From a 21 year-old who wishes he was around then. Props to cloud9dj.
Stevie Wonder stole this song from the late Tammi Terrell?

As far as I know this was the original and was never rfeleased. Glad you enjoyed it KTF

Yes, it is the original. I have it on on the Cellarful of Motown collection. Stevie didn't release his own version of his song until like 1979 or so.
