i swam off the coast of cancun with many barracudas around, they were so still and they just look at you as if they are stalking your every move. lol.
yeah though they may not attack humans all that often, if there is a school of super fast mouths with razor sharp teeth nearby I ain't getting in the water lol
Barracuda's really don't want anything to do with you. Like sharks, provoking them or looking as prey to them could end up in a conflict as such you said, but usually never.
Nice fish. I love barracuda. I swam with some in the Caribbean late last year. Very curious fish that doesn't deserve the "human killer" reputation it has gained.

they travel in schools as juvenilles . As adults they are 6 feet long and travel solo .
