I was wondering while he added more weight how she was standing slanted back like thart until I realized she was leaning back against the hack squat back rest. I guess this is a more quad-intensive movement. Does this machine not allow a lot of depth or something? Or maybe short people can't get as low because they're already low ahead of time, would more RoM be possible through standing on a box? Actually getting 90 in the knees or below parallel would make it a lot more challenging and flexibl
machine, allowing the barbell to go down in a 75 degree angle, definately plays a role in this workout. as u can tell the girl's body when she's doing the squats/lifts. her back is diagonally slanted. thus keeping the weight mainly on her lower spine/Dan Tian (center of gravity) then as she goes down into Ma Bu (horse stance) it stabilizes. then going back up. she uses her thigh muscles, as well as her lower spine/dan tian to push the weight back up. but real cool demonstration tho. kudos :)
Wow, she looks thin and delicate, but she is probably stronger than me - at least her legs! It was so easy for her - I think she can do 3 times her body weight. Respect.

Machines are easier (especially the hack squat). That is why she could squat 215.
