Maybe you should pay your HOA fee then and quit crying about how unfair it is when you lack of responsibility bites you in the parking space. In my complex 1/3 of the people don't pay so everyone elses fees go up. Being one of the people who pay, yet see other who don't still get to go to the pool, have running water and trash pickup every month I don't feel sorry for you. Wish we could borrow your big ass cinder blocks and block a few driveways here.

I've had to endure the wrath of my HOA and paid their "Mafia blood money", on the advice of my attorney. Afterwards, I ran a petition in my neighborhood and got them all ousted. I was the neighborhood hero. Many of my neighbors were suffering in silence. I bet you're not the only one suffering...

All - I called the local Sandy Springs fire department and the police department. The police came out here and told us this was a civil matter - but were shocked to find my wife's car here and took special note. The Fire Department, when called, said basically the the same thing. I am here today waiting to have them come and remove the blocks just so she can get out. I learned their legal team has advised them to do it but it took 11Alive's Bill Liss to get involved for them to follow-up.
This is APPALLING!!!! Is there an email address or website I can COMPLAIN to?? As a Sandy Springs neighbor, I am ashamed of what this HOA is doing!!! I would love to fill up their email box with complaints. SHAME ON THEM!!!!! This is RIDICULOUS!! I'd love to find the HOA's homes and barr them in for being such poor neighbors!! (Disclaimer...an exaggeration)...but honestly, tell us what/when and I'll find some neighbors to join you in speaking up and protesting this ridiculous HOA!!!
I inherited the place when my father passed away six years ago. Yes - shame on me for not being more involved in the day-to-day HOA stuff... but I have made every attempt to pay my bills, it is not like I am not. - read the description. - my plan now is to get on HOA board.
One more example of why it isn't a good idea to live in a house governed by a HOA. If it were me, I would move those blocks and probably chain them together out of the way. Rent an engine hoist and move them somewhere.

As a RE professional in an area of almost all HOA neighborhoods, HOA's hold too much power and all it takes is one power hungry imbecile to escalate a NOTHING into a problem. Did you not read the HOA ADDED assements to him & then more than doubled it with "lawyers fees"? That is on top of one's HOA monthly bill & any properly run HOA should have had the new roof budgeted in and had reserves set aside from what the homeowners pay monthly! Badly run condo HOA's are causing people to walk away from their homes because of stunts like these. These are times for communication and cooperation... Not for harsh, rush judgements & power trips! If you only had a heart
Call the local fire dept. and get ahold of the Fire Chief. It is illegal to block an ingress/egress area as it is a fire hazard. Have the Fire Chief call the HOA Atty, and those blocks will be gone.
Just take a sledge to the blocks or you could just take out a few of your bushes and drive up around them.

Been there done that. I've lived in gated communities that have had HOA for the last 15 years.
Never a problem if you pay your bills! You get behind on the payments, the HOA is on your tail.
Assessments and lawyer fees are in the contracts I've seen! It's common sense!
READ the flippin paperwork! If you sign the contract, or you are left the property in a will, it's
your responsibility!
PAY YOUR BILLS,......to avoid this!
