The country was decided by the Founders. They wanted a Federal Union, and they forbade states from acting like sovereign nations, for a reason.
Once again, you can't invade your own country. Lincoln went to the individual states and territories, and ASKED for troops to put down a rebellion. The majority of those states and territories, supported the Union.

The South was already part of the USA, and many of the states in the South were created after the Union was formed, as the result of blood and treasure from ALL the states. They had no right to secede without the consent of the rest of the nation.

Now there's something you won't read about in "The South Was Right". The ANV, deliberately targeting Black civilians in PA, and MD, for seizure, and transport back to the South, to be sold into slavery. Whites in Pennsylvania risked their homes, and their lives, to hide Blacks, and even rescue them from their captors.

They weren't fighting for the same thing as the original 13 Colonies. The Colonies were not given representation by the British Empire. The South DOMINATED US politics for the first half of the 19th Century, and only tried to secede when it couldn't dictate to the rest of the nation, on the issue of slavery.
You can't invade your own country. The overwhelming majority of Americans supported the Union...including a large number of white Southerners.

The country was decided by the Founders. They wanted a Federal Union, and they forbade states from acting like sovereign nations, for a reason.
Once again, you can't invade your own country. Lincoln went to the individual states and territories, and ASKED for troops to put down a rebellion. The majority of those states and territories, supported the Union.

The South was already part of the USA, and many of the states in the South were created after the Union was formed, as the result of blood and treasure from ALL the states. They had no right to secede without the consent of the rest of the nation.
The CSA forced pro-Union areas of the South into the CSA, and attacked and invaded the citizens of Colorado and New Mexico, in an attempt to seize their territories for the South.

Westerners and Northerners got tired of Southerners interfering in their affairs over the issue of slavery...Fugitive Slave Laws...refusing to allow newly-formed states the right to vote on the slavery issue.

"Why did Northern people not talk, blah blah"...Actually sweet meat. That very topic was discussed in one of my middle school history classes. In elementary school, we discussed slavery in Northern states, before and during the Revolutionary War period...in a fair amount of detail.
One thing we weren't taught in ANY history class...Lee permitting his soldiers to engage in the round up of free Blacks, during Confederate occupation, and the risks whites took, to thwart them.

The ANV, deliberately targeting Black civilians in PA, and MD, for seizure, and transport back to the South, to be sold into slavery. Back then, schools actually discussed the period leading up to the war, and Reconstruction, in a fair amount of detail.

Believe dude, I grew up in the mid-Atlantic region, lived in Colorado, and now South Crapolina...and visited a good portion of the lower 48. The South IS NOT the best of the USA. Not by a long shot.

Really dude? No there weren't. Not in 1860. That fact is documented by US census records, which broke down the slave/free population by state and territory.
Once again sunshine...slavery was the issue that most concerned Southerners themselves...and they documented that fact...again & again.

Southern nationalism is in direct conflict with the US Constitution, and Founding Father's plan.
States are forbidden to act like sovereign nations.
Therefore, Confederate soldiers were domestic terrorists fighting in support of an illegal rebellion.
Read up on George Washington...especially his thoughts on "an indissoluble Union, being the only safeguard of our freedom and independence"'.
On the other hand, Southerners ARE a dissimilar people from true Americans, so...

They weren't fighting for the same thing as the original 13 Colonies. The Colonies were not given representation by the British Empire. The South DOMINATED US politics for the first half of the 19th Century, and only tried to secede when it couldn't dictate to the rest of the nation, on the issue of slavery.
You can't invade your own country. The overwhelming majority of Americans supported the Union...including a large number of white Southerners.
I highly doubt it.
