  • "im not comin in like a fairy or somethin".

  • Woot! I love it when they do the real time rumble lol

  • What jackass disliked this?

  • I KNOW why it's called dirty boxing, just I think it's stupid to call what he is doing as 'dirty boxing'. Has nothing to do with boxing. That's like saying kicking or knees are dirty boxing (since they break the rules of boxing) - again, nothing to do with boxing. IMO, what Jens is showing here is simply wrestling and set ups for the take down. Basically, I think Dirty Boxing is a stupid term - anything that breaks any rule of boxing is 'Dirty Boxing' - that's just dumb. Great clip though!

  • Good stuff Jenz cool band too every gym should have Live Rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Good stuff Jenz cool band to every gym should have Live Rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I like the shoulder bumping,Seen Oscar Delahoya do it to pernell whitaker, whitaker was stuned looked at the ref who didn' see it and gave oscar a chance to pin him on the ropes

  • THIS IS VERY ADVANCED AND EXCELLENT TO UTLIZE .

EVEN OMMITING THE TAKE DOWN THE TIE UP AND SHOULDER BUMPING IS GREAT !!!

  • very good

  • That guy's fuckin' takedown defense is a joke. Jens Pulver has no clue what he's talking about.

  • @ChessMasterHarvey I bet Jens could kick your ass you key board commando.

  • @brianspost75 Uh huh. Sure. At least I know how to defend a fuckin' take down. Dumb nerd. Get off of youtube.

  • @ChessMasterHarvey Nerd? you assume too much. I am 6'3 280 I work part time as a bouncer and I have a 1st degree black belt. and I still say Jens Pulver could kick your ass.

  • @brianspost75 1st degree black belt huh? In what? That suddenly means you know take down defense? You're taking to a 2 time state wrestling champ in the 150. So get the fuck out of here if you don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

  • @ChessMasterHarvey Ok, well I do respect those kind of wrestling credentials but you have to realize that MMA is different from a wrestling match. The addition of striking is going to greatly change the tactics that you would use. Pulver is no chump. Coming from a wrestling background I am sure you respect Uriah Faber, well Jens gave him a real run for his money. It was a great match. Check it out.

  • @brianspost75 it would be great seeing the pulver vs faber fights in fact i tried to find them

without success....so if u could link it or something that would be great

  • Nice techniques

  • This isn't dirty boxing. The things in boxing that make dirty boxing 'dirty' are the ones that are against the rules. Almost all of those things are legal in MMA...

  • @jpsandberg but not legal in BOXING

  • @jpsandberg Dude its called dirty boxing because its illegal in boxing, so its just a term they use to basically describe boxing in the clinch. watch Randy Courture fight he's a master of it

  • jens is the man..

    im bumbed he retired.....

  • he's not retired. he's gonna be back this year hopefully :] war jens!

  • Yo Jens is the Man! He was great in Tuf!

  • Im not jiu jitsu I dont like it. lol Me niether!!

  • you shouldnt not like it because you suck at it.

  • Umm if you watch the video. Thats what Jens pulver said. I just agreed. Plus wrestlings much much more affective than jiu jitsu, Submissions ground control and all.

  • umm submisions... hell no

control... hell yeah. bjjers hate wrestlers.

but wrestlers still need a good understanding of it to be affective( against it)

  • Lol YES SUBMISSIONS!!!!!!!!!! Much much better. Watch Catch wrestlers go at it. There are even some videos on youtube if you want to check them out. Tony Ceccinie I think his name is. Hes a Catch wrestler on youtube.

Ohh and I know Bjj hates us. Because we are obviously a better ground game or stand up wrestling game than they are.

You thinking of just freestyle Wrestling. Theres more forms of Wrestling out there.

  • im a bjj guy and i love rolling with wrestlers, i prefer to stand up and exchange blows, but when i get taken down im still sittin pretty

  • I recently started watching Catch Wrestling video here on YT. They are pretty good.

  • @echo1v did u see the jaw manipulation vid :P that one looks brutal i wouldnt try that in a spar :P

  • @mizdierbeatz

Seriously I destroy Bjj or Jiu jitsu guys with even basic wrestling skills. Jiu jitsu sucks at wrestling. Therefor there submissions suck as well. Not as good as Catch wrestlers!

  • Haha... last time a cocky ass wrestler took a double on me... i went to rubber gaurd.. worked my way to omoplata... had that guy screamin like a bitch... i also wrestle to... and i train serious bjj... so i guess ive got both of it to my advantage... and i box for my standup

  • @TylerH2055

Yeah I don't really care about free-style wrestling! Go try and take on a catch wrestler then talk shit!

But seriously bjj is garbage wrestling. The take downs suck and the control on the ground is horrible. Free-style wrestling is good at teaching control. But a good wrestling art should teach both submission and control. Now don't get me wrong, alot of BJJ's schools and programs have put alot of free-wrestling skills into there system.

But for the best in both try Catch!

  • BJJ isnt about good takedowns... and no control on the ground? thats probley cause you havent fought a good top notch bjj fighter.... go watch royce gracie ... really dude... dont say he has no control the ground... BJJ is my favorite fighting style... peroid... wrestling dosent teach such indepth submissions.. you learn basics... so... a standerd wrestler vs a black belt BJJ ... bjj would win... imo

  • @TylerH2055

Go watch royce gracie? Really? Go watch him again! That was back in the day when most ppl where unaware of the ground game. He amounts to shit now. Also watch someone called Kazushi Sakuraba aka the Gracie hunter. He destroyed all the Gracies even your boy like 3 times. Ohh and heads up Sakuraba is a Catch wrestler. =)

  • @bananabread119 Sakuraba would have got destroyed by Rickson though as I am sure you know. If all your brothers were decent fighters that I defeated but you were the best and we never fought than was my mission to defeat your fighting family a success? Rickson Gracie was never defeated Helio Gracie himself lost matches so it is clear the best Gracie remains on a whole other BJJ level than his counterparts.

  • Good combination of fight styles you have. Whats your opinion on boxing vs Mauythia, those blokes can kick like a mule.

I do boxing & Jujitsu (combination at my club of traditional & Bjj, BJJ & MMA has done so much to remove a lot of nonsense from martial arts) if you don't apply boxing rules & hit to the hip its good to stop opponents running bursting or kicking you.

Bannabread119 is right about some Jujitsu wrestling skills - it is important train no-gi as well as with a gi.

  • im starting to get into mui thai, i love clinch fighting and such, so im goin to train for the knees and elbows of muay thai

  • @mizdierbeatz i'm a "bjjers" and i like wrestling too. rolling with a wrestling is really hard and lets me work on escapes and submitting someone who is really athletic. pure wrestling is fun too, even though i suck at it. both are useful and both compliment each other in my opinion

  • @bananabread119 to a certain point...wrestling teaches u how to be physical as hell and taking out the other guys comfort completely if ur really good at wrestling the other guys always gonna be uncomfortable guarantee. thats what i love bout wrestling.

  • @SirFightsalot

Right but learn the submissions! Wrestling teaches many submissions that are good for finishing your opponent! I'm not a big fan of Jiu Jitsu! I prefer Catch wrestling better. But Its what your more comfortable with.

  • that band hahaha cudn't they just put sum music over it or something?

  • im not commin in there like a fairy man

  • hahaha pause it at 4:33 and just look at him

  • hehehehe! Classic pulver staredown! =)

  • Mira vos El diablillo Pulver o como mierda le digan..practicando algo de wrestling¿?

aunque siempre se limita al boxeo en sus peleas de MMA.

  • I really like that takedown, can't wait to go try it out. That clinch is a very common position in MMA and BJJ even.

  • Hell, its commn in Muay Thai even. Not that you can use the takedown =). This is a great vid, No one ever wants to focus on Dirty Boxing. Its SO important

  • I love dirty boxing. The best feeling when you are sparring for mma and your partner says you dirty bastard after you are done...

  • lol

  • @mooki69 i always get called a harsh bastard because i always sweap peoples legs out when they muay thai sheald :) love this love being called a bastard it lets you know you got one up on them!

  • oh nice thank you so much!

  • Very Nice
