what setting u running out and u can turn up your texturs to normal (tweak with that it looks horrible maybe its just fraps)

turn of specular and maybe even ragdoll since your cpu is already under full load

@slob123456789 Yes It takes determination to play the game at such low graphics - I completed the single player campaign like this. Thankfully, I have upgraded to an Alienware m11x in the meantime , so now can enjoy the game at highest settings :)

@OCSmoke8 I can't remember exactly. It was marginally better than when recording. I would hazard a guess at an average of 19fps. In some areas it was smooth, in larger maps it would drop , and if alot of action was taking plave, it could go as low as 10fps .

@QuietZorg Let me correct you YES by 10x You see if you call acer they custom make what ever you want which i am doing right now and ordering a top laptop! 10x better mean i get exactly what you have and better plus at 1/3rd the price. You see alienware rips you off for their stuff. Don't get me wrong alienware is good but not the best. They overcharge that makes you a sucker in my opinion.

@Dorisequador let me correct you. Something 10x better than mine would certainly cost more than 1/3 the price of mine... regardless of brand. Alienware are not the best, but for certain neither are acer. Sure AW over charge, but they were the only ones offering what I wanted when I was in the market, I weighted cost/benefit and decided it was the way for me :)

@QuietZorg I am a smart ass that is true and i heard alien ware rocks.

But the price man wow just to high a price tag on those babies thats why i went Acer...

It had a 18.4 inch screen with a Nvidia 240GT which runs everything exellently.

500 gig harddrive plus 4 gigs of ram on the board.

The sound was amaizing with detailed surround sound for a great experience from the laptop itself.

(Most of all stable)

Alienware was just to expensive for what it was or is nowaday's.

@blackyiechan well i'm pretty sure a atom 1.6GHz with nvidia9300m or whatever they have would struggle with a CPU bottleneck more so than this. it is a 1.4GHz but i have an atom netbook previously, this is noticebly less CPU bound

@QuietZorg ya all games these days rely on the gpu and less the cpu so u get a great cpu and a dedicated gpu

@blackyiechan Are you calling the Atom a great cpu, or the Core2solo? Neither are great when comes to gaming. As for CPU or GPU bound, it's hard to say, as both CPU's and GPU's of netbooks (even ion) are poor relative to what the game is designed for.

I have not played this game,

but i did play through left for dead 2 on my 1.6ghz 9300m and it played WAY better than this. to be fair, i overclocked the gpu, but still, i got totally playable results.

I will post a vid on monday of COD MW2 on 4GB ram, in different levels, so you will know what to expect. Even With 4GB ram, it is sometimes non fluid.

Anyway, over weekend i will make more vids, will upload on Monday ok :)

Yes this is certainly a acer 1410 (su3500 model). settings are all lowest, res 800*480 , like i said, some levels are not this fluid...

Don't buy it if you expect to play the whole game perfectly, some levels are stuttery, but some levels are like this vid(good enough!)

Go for something if you want a better experience, get a better spec machine, maybe 13.3" screen xps etc. I got this for college work mainly, just a bit of gaming on the side!

I don't follow..

It runs as well as the video shows with 2GB ram, 4GB ram is ever so slightly better.

That being said it is not ideal, but i just wanted to show ppl!
