  • “Jon felt strongly that the multi-sport community would play an

important role in finding, at minimum, an effective treatment for

ALS at its early stage,” said Bob Blais. “This study hopefully will

    lead to that effective treatment.”

  • I was really touched by Jon’s story. I am an undergrad at the University of Texas at San Antonio and have done a lot of research in neurophysiology; specifically, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). When I saw this video last year, I had decided to complete an Ironman and have been training ever since. I am now signed up for the 2012 Ironman Western Australia and watch this video every day before my workouts.

  • His story has helped me push through some hard times and has also inspired me to get a masters, then a PhD in the field of ALS research. Funny how someone you have never met or never will meet can inspire someone they will never know. His story and family have changed my life. Words can’t express my thanks to him and his family.

  • I was so toucked by your story I started training and completed the Ironman in Arizona 2009. Then my best friend just diagnosed with ALS just 2 months later.. He passed away September 2011. I wrote a song for his memory. Thanks for posting this.

  • "I first saw your incredible story while watching the 2005 Ironman. As an avid baseball history fan I consider Lou Gehrig one of the greatest because he was likely the first to give ALS a voice. Your voice has been much louder and stronger thank goodness. The words THANK YOU are not enough to express how you have opened eyes and minds about ALS and hopefully soon there will be a cure."

  • There is progress in the war on ALS.

Think Blazeman would have liked this www3.nhk.or.jp/daily/english/10_06.html

  • FREEDOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great video. Blazeman, still blazing a trail. You were in my thoughts on the Course in Penticton.

  • My wife's aunt died last night after battling ALS for three years. I will be rolling across the finish line for her and in honor of Jon.
