  • My friend and I seriously snuck in there last night. If anyone is around the area, I unlocked all the doors I found, have fun, it's not haunted, just really neat.

  • Do you know if they still allow paranormal investigations to take place here anymore?

  • I should say - never ever thought we'd get a peek, I hope it was ok. I don't know where you are with the proceedings right now, but can you or someone post when the open house will be? By the way, Patrck did a nice job on this video.

  • I am so glad you took the time to make this video Joe. We heard there was going to be an open house from a guy at the railroad museum today. Saw two cars pull up so we decided to go & find out when the open house is going to be. A young man told us he didn't know, but would be back. We thought he forgot about us, so we peeked on the first two floors...wow what a beautiful bulding and restoration! I never thought we'd get the opportunity to view the inside, because it was never open.

  • @jeffrey702702 ....Your comment was flagged as "SPAM" but I cannot imagine WHY!?!? I tried to "UN-Flag" it. I have never been able to visit the Walker House because I live all the way down in Georgia, but it breaks my heart to think that such a wonderful old place such as this will destroyed. How awful!! :( I will be praying that it can be saved!

  • Is the building still in existence? We'd love to see it they should think of making it a tourist attraction or something like that. They made a museum of the Octagon House with the proceeds from the tours going for the upkeep. People in Wisconsin are good about supporting their historical buildings.

  • @Zurie53225 Yes, the building is still in existence. I live in Mineral Point. It's one of the many beautiful structures in town. You'll be amazed if you ever get to see it in person!

  • A touching story. What's happened?

  • Great Video Joe...your passion reveals itself...

  • Living proof that smugness will only get you so far in life. Learn and move on.

  • Fascinating history. it deserves to be preserved!

  • This was a great video. This Historic Building needs to be saved. We are losing so much of our historical buildings as it is. Something that appears to have waited for you Joe and your wife to buy it does not make me think it wants to go down by a wrecking ball. If each one of tells someone else about this great history, maybe someone would love to come in as a partner with you. Saying oh this is sad and thank you for sharing this is NOT enough. Get Brian Harnois and The Paranormals in!!!!

  • @Lynn44257 This is Joe,, It is magic to watch people that come to the Walker House. The building sat empty for nearly 20 years till we got there. It took nearly a year to (adopt ) the building. The past owner who's 95 and still as sharp as a tack loves the building. It has that effect on you. We had a group of paranormal investigators spend last weekend, it was fun :-)

  • Patrick and Marley great job on the video! Please upload more videos soon. What a sad sorry.Take Care

  • Thanks for sharing this excellent but heart-wrenching video.
