@nils119 There are colloquial nicknames such as "Jack Mormons" that refers to LDS followers that don't always adhere to traditional views. It is possible to stray away from traditional values and still be apart of the church. (Although, it's not publicly shared with others that sin was committed unless that information was divulged to a bishop.) What had happened between us if anything at all, is confidential.

Someone had asked me why I giggled the way I did when in this video. Now, without getting too much into right and wrong about religiosity, I dated a Mormon for a little more than two years. I can say we didn't see eye-to-eye about how the relationshit would turn out. All I will comment about is that everyone has a different view on religion and rightfully so.

Mormons don't believe we automatically receive our own planets at death, try finding out what true mormonism teaches instead of what you can dig up from anti-mormon sources. There has never been such prophecy about Christ's SECOND coming in 1891. You're confusing the vision of Christ in the Temple by Joseph Smith and others, but then again, you probably already know that and spout your own words either way. It's a common tactic by the ignorant.

@tycruise I didn't say all Mormons become gods and get their own planets as there are 3 levels, with that being the top level.
That was the reward for being a "good" Mormon - i.e. obeying the LDS cult without question, having many wives and children and paying your tithing (10% of income).
This "reward" was a way for Smith to keep his gullible sheep in line as they wanted to become gods upon death.
Trust me, I know lots of the Mormon cult as I lived in Utah for two years.

Or theists discriminating against theists Darwin and Galileo for introducing ideas contrary to the bible based on the evidence available. An atheist would find it hard to discriminate against an atheist on the basis of their religious belief (what the analogy is pertinent to), however, so my analogy might fall down there.

Is there not a rift between Gnostic and Agnostic atheists where one sees the other as close minded more so than the other, or not as strong as the other? When I was an atheist I used to see that kind of stuff between them.
