I once bombed a planet with like 300 Korsov siege frigates and 15 Marza dreadnaughts with raze planet, the world was to much radiation for 1 our, that's how long I had to wait untill I could colonize
lol when i play sins its slow but very slow end where nead to resrch(F2) it dont show up in full screen mod en on windos it dos come but must of time IT DONT
I got this game , it's really cool , but I got a little problem: The game only allow me to build 3 civilian and 3 military research station. Please someone tell me why!
Sounds like you need to do the upgrades for your planets. Each planet has a limited amount of tactical (defense and repair buildings) and logistics (research etc) slots, which can be upgraded to allow you to build more of each. Hope that helps.
You can access your upgrades for planets by clicking a planet(Or astro) and selecting the button with a grid covered circle. Inside you'll see a few green buttons. You can increase your planets HP,tactical slots, logistic slots, explore the planet, and increase your population cap(Increase taxes, increasing your revenue from the planet)
YOu can mouse over a planet and the window that pops up and shows the planets stats displays how many tactical/logistic slots are used ATM.
Oh Hell yeah there are Nukes in the game. The explosions are awesome and the devastation is wicked! If you get a nuke shot at you your only salvation is death.or a game over.lol
mostly since i focus on wiping out enemy forces fleeing the battle (sometimes pursuing to the next planet) before -really- focusing on finishing off the planet. so the guy usually only has the few ships that never saw battle, or managed to escape back to freindly territory. Unity FTW
Usually the last homeworld battle for me is massive. Since the enemy flees almost automatically if they are hugely outnumbered all theyre ships end up at theyre only planet left. Then i just gather up my entire massive endgame fleet and attack. Its usually an amazingly awesome battle.
"final battle" more of a final cake walk :S bit boring, i always seem to end up with a fairly large fleet sat in the home world cause it uruns from planet to planet from me till it gets there n sits still
No its not realistic. the enemy can have twice the fleet you have but soon as you jump to his planet he'll run like a bitch and he'll do that all the way back to his last planet and you wont have 1 good fight the whole game. only sometimes he'll stay for a minute or so if u put i on the hardest difficulty.
@Kilithaza they actually fixed that in the new expansion "Diplomacy" it is realistic now, since they even research on their own. the only time they retreat is when the capital sustains heavy damage, or the outcome is leaning in your victory.
I just finished the demo...I'm definitely buying this game. I love it. I wish it had the quality of homeworld battles (ship to ship damage etc.) but its still awesome. Epic scale.
I agree with Jetstream. The battles in Homeworld 2 are awesome. If they can make a game combined the tactic, the scale (and the complication) of SoSE with the battles of Homeworld 2, I'm def. gonna buy it.

Why are we arguing about whether a space sim is realistic? Hello? It's a space sim.

ya, in the TEC faction, a special ability is to nuke other ships =D

Those nukes are probably in the gigaton yield ;)

Finally I can stop looking for a decent video of this game to show people. That only took me about half an hour of looking.

What i hate about this game is that the AI flees 99% of the time
Kilithaza 3 years ago 2
gah I hate it when they do that! damn ai sob wont stand and fight
BurritoPirateXO 2 years ago
Yes but that is realistic. A starfleet would do a tactical retreat.

I haven't noticed that problem. What version are you using?
Vedaseran 2 years ago
This is actually something the developers have addressed in game patches.
dexexday 2 years ago
I have never encountered that problem lol. When I play, they still put up a fight when we have the same amount of ships.
kentran9 2 years ago
try changing the AI type to Aggressors then
