I live in Rawalpindi,pakistan well, lahore is known 4 its kites My no one lives in lahore so i cant go to lahore i rawalpindi basant is going to be on 7th april 2011 so i hope that rawalpindi also celebrates kite festival like lahore.

Fake PML-Q government in 2006 started putting ban on Basant. This was the event of poor people and they were celebrating Basant peacefully from several years.

There are still lots of ways to celebrate this event peacefully. Government can put ban on the traveling though Motorcycles in the days of Basant, as this is was the only main reason behind putting ban.

Leaders of Punjab Government are doing only politics on this issue.

This is the great short documentary describing almost every part which has to do something with the the basant. I always wanted to tell my friends in Canada about what basant really is,but didn't have the words and then this video explained that all. It has to be one of the best videos because it pretty much visualizes every thing just in 15 min. Ok bye. By the way I love basant and miss it way too much.
