  • Good video, many useful tips. I wonder, why the branches have to be so widely apart? Another question - can you espalier a walnut tree when it is young? I got one and I don't want a giant, just a nice tidy flat tree

  • Hi! I am a landscape architect from Ontario, Canada. I have installed dozens of espaiier fruit trees and flowering trees in my clients' gardens and I found that by inserting a galvanized turnbuckle in each support wire, you can create a nice tight wire support instantly. As the wire stretches over time, you can simply tighten the screw in the turnbuckle and you regain the tension on the wire. Works a charm! Great video by the way.
