  • The bible talks about a messiah, that messiah was not Jesus,he was Cyrus of persia king who save Israel from the king of bobylon and help them to rebuild the citys.

  • Is this news? "The identical thing that we now call Christian religion existed among the ancients, and has not been lacking from the beginning of the human race leading to the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh, from which moment on the true religion, which already existed, began to be called Christian." ~ Saint Augustine (about a century and a half ago)

  • This video is absolute bullshit and hurts atheism more than it helps it. Don't believe the bullshit misinformation and look it up for yourself.

  • @PSNBloodraid Look up what exactly? Could you give me a head start?

  • @lasoogneypubes Any of the claims that are made in the video.

  • @PSNBloodraid I might believe you if you gave me something specific to look up. I know that at least some of the claims in this video are true. So why not at least give me one that's not true? I'm just going to write you off as an angry christian or something if you can't.

  • @lasoogneypubes Just because I disagree with this video doesn't mean I'm a Christian... I'm an atheist mate...

Take a peek at any of the bullshit they said about the similarities between Jesus and any other God. Almost all of it is completely fabricated, while the rest is just incredibly twisted interpretations of the mythology (example: Horus being born of a Virgin).

Furthermore; this entire video is a red herring. Even if everything that was said in this video is true, what does it prove?

  • @lasoogneypubes Google and read the Book of the Dead, or the Hymns of Isis. Anyone who has had even a shallow look at ancient Egyptian mythology will recognize instantly that this video is total crap. Horus' (actual) mythology is fascinating, and it's such a shame that someone has chosen to totally twist it around to look more like Jesus'. What's even worse is that people actually believe it. There is a reason why no sources are cited in this video. Please do some research, folks.

  • @dolphinserenity Ok. So that's good to know. A lot of people have been saying that the Horus/Jesus comparisons are way wrong. Aside from that the similarities between Jesus and astrology are still pretty interesting and still makes Christianity look stupid.

  • @lasoogneypubes The problem I see with the astrology claims of Zeitgeist is that they are centered around astrological signs associated with December the 24 and the 25. The problem is...that's not Jesus' birthday, and it never was considered Jesus' birthday until fairly recently...that is simply when the LATER Christians chose to celebrate his birth. So any astrological signs around this date are very irrelevent.

  • @dolphinserenity Ahh I've heard that too. I think at the least the idea that Jesus' head was on the zodiac cross in a lot of early artwork of him. That still makes it look like the sun on the zodiac to me.

  • @lasoogneypubes I've never heard such a claim before. Can you link me to an image?

  • @dolphinserenity It's in these Zeitgeist religion videos. Not sure which part it is though.

  • @dolphinserenity

December 25th is not celebrated as Jesus' birthday?? Holy fucking denial Batman!

  • @rubberbaby00 The 12/25 "parallel" is post Mithra, post Horus, etc. AND "post Christianity," which makes it rubbish. The Christian religion, texts, etc. had been around for hundreds of years BEFORE the date was considered by the Catholic church as a day of "celebration," (not as the actual birthdate.) This isn't a parallel because it is recent. Nothing in the ancient texts and nobody in the ancient world mentioned Jesus' bday as 12/25. Scholars agree he would've been born in the spring.

  • @rubberbaby00 Part 2: The earliest Christians couldn't have based Jesus' life story off of the star alignment on "his birthday" December 24-25 because that has NEVER been considered his birthday. In fact, it's only been considered a day of celebrating his birthday, and this day wasn't chosen until hundreds and hundreds of years AFTER the New Testament was even written. And obviously even longer after the Old Testament. Understand why this is not a parallel?

  • @dolphinserenity

Dec. 25th (the winter solstice) has been celebrated for thousands of years before jesus was a twinkle in mary's eye. The christian church adopted that already Existing Holiday to legitemize their piece of shit religion.

  • Rattlesnake, your brain needs to be checked.

  • @rattlesnakemalitia Stfu... you must be really important. Surely god wouldn't let YOU die. Oh wait, you're gonna die anyways. Grow the hell up and focus on the people you love, not the tooth fairy or Santa claus or the psychopath god that you blindly believe in.

  • Here is an article opposite to the video. Please read it !

  • These are lies and propaganda.I am from Greece and I ve read about Dionysus.I ve never found any evidence that Dionysus was born of a vergin on December 25.All these ancient gods were mythological. And the ancient Greeks as the Egyptians and the Persians weren't using the Latin/Christian calendar that we use nowadays.Common logic. The dates that we know from ancient times are calculated using technological devices that calculate at about. So how did they calculate the dates of mythological gods?

  • Guys, look up what he is presenting. Its false.

  • @SolidusReborn your an idiot.

  • @ApharHa unless your point is that everything presented here is a myth in regards to religion.

  • @ApharHa That it's all a myth.

  • @ApharHa You mean "you're." Nice try though ;) Try looking up this information.

  • @SolidusReborn Spelling error aside. I have done the research back in 07, when this movie first hit the streets. I was a Christian at the time and tried to disprove everything about this. Spent hours upon hours at the library . Only to find out it's all true.

  • @ApharHa True in the sense that all these myths are based off the same deity.

  • remember folks he is speaking in a very broad sense, he is not espousing facts; just drawing a picture.

  • Jesus... final answer.

  • "Horus, the Sun God" Lol, video not legit already. Horus is a Sky God.

  • @Maximus5798 Ever hear of Herodotus? I think you need to do some real studying... By going to the library, you know that place with the the books inside.

  • @ApharHa I've probably read more in a day than you have in a lifetime. If you want to make a drive-thru comment, then please say what it's relevance is. If not, troll somewhere else. There is hardly ANYTHING in this video that is even remotely true. If you went to a library and "studied" all these "facts" and found out they were all "true," then you've been reading the wrong historians. Troll somewhere else.

  • @Maximus5798 Horus was said to be the sky, he was considered to also contain the sun and moon. It became said that the sun was his right eye and the moon his left, and that they traversed the sky when he, a falcon, flew across it. Later, the reason that the moon was not as bright as the sun was explained by a tale, known as the contestings of Horus and Set, originating as a metaphor for the conquest of Upper Egypt by Lower Egypt in about 3000 BC. Retard.

  • @Y2KillerSPOOBLY Horus' life bares ZERO resemblance to Christ, regardless. This "Sun God" and "Son of God" pun only works in english. Try it in Greek, egyptian, etc, doesn't work.

  • According to the Scriptures, Jesus Christ was not immediately taken up to heaven like this movie suggests. Jesus was taken up into heaven 40 days after He rose from the dead. This movie also does not address the prophecies of the coming Messiah in the Old Testament.

  • @GonsteadLover Luke Chapter 24.

  • Soooo. Is this video trying to have me believe that the Bible and other religious text are just metaphors for Astrology? I pride myself in keeping an open mind but, sometimes I come accross some materials that seem like they are trying to insult my intelligence and beliefs. This would be one of those materials. I don't like to comment negatively about anyones videos. I would rather state, that we shall agree to disagree. Have a great day.

  • @mindopnr

lol some people just cant accept the truth. dont worry, your not alone. their are plenty of ignorant ass wipes just like you.

  • @MrSeanguarasce OK Mr. cock sucker. I was trying to be polite in my comment, but as I can see that you are closed minded piece of shit that everyone hates. NOW FUCK YOU. GO SUCK A DEAD MANS DICK, OR BETTER YET YOUR ZEITGEISTS' LEADERS DICK. I'm not an as wipe, but I can guarantee I'll WIPE MY ASS WITH YOU.

  • @mindopnr Was that last comment a demonstration of your moral superiority?

  • @buttface112211 No that was me getting uncharacteristictly pissed off because some one can't except a polite comment to disagree. I don't like leaving negative comments, but when I'm called an ignorant ass wipe. I don't take kindly. Mainly because that person doesn't know a thing about me,as I don't of him.

  • @mindopnr

you know what, its funny because your the closed minded ones who cant accept that a sky wizard does not run our fucking lives. this video is proof. i admit, what you said made me chuckle. It was very christian though. politely forcing your bullshit dow our throats? yup, that christian. i know im an asshole, dont need to tell me. some people are scared to touch the soft spots in life. i finger the fuck out of those soft spots. fuck with me.

  • @MrSeanguarasce I do wish you would be intelligent enough to go back and read my VERY FIRST POST. Then let me know where it is that I say that I am a Christian, and that I am trying to force any bullshit down your throat. truth be known, you probably put plenty of shit down your throat. It just so happens that I have read MANY text on , not just religion, but spirituality as a whole. FUCK WITH YOU I SHALL. Because you are foolish.

  • The bible foretold of a coming Messiah for quite sometime before the birth of Christ. Of course many claimed to be the messiah, however these false messiahs don't hardly have any factual documentation.Christ was NOT born on December 25, Christmas is a Pagan holiday that was banned for over 100 year by protestants because of the Satanic Rituals that evildoers partook in. The 3 wise men were not sent to adorn Jesus, they were sent to kill him, but once they saw him they couldn't. Crockumentary.

  • For some the conclusions drawn by this series may be true. Yet for others the conclusions may be false, and I believe they are. Lets say that there have been numerous "Messiahs" who have these characteristics throughout the ages. Does that make the underlying concepts and inner truths that may be revealed invalid? While I agree that the Inquisition was a nightmare visited by the Catholic Church, but does that make the message of Jesus invalid? John 4:16 says "God is Love". Invalid? Hmm.

  • Where are you getting this information? I can't find anything that mentions those aspects of Horus, other than obviously-biased sites. Please, do not fabricate information to make mordern religions look not as special. You are becoming what you are trying to disprove.

  • @Music1sgreat God told us to follow his word which is in the bible. in 300s Emperor Constantine decided to end the slaughter of christians and create the Catholic Church. He was part a believer in the one true God, but partly still a pagan. To make the Catholic religion more appealing to him and many Romans, Greeks or w e he mixed pagan holidays with the Bibles stories of Jesus. for ex, dec 25th the sun gods, n birth of Jesus. the only truth is in the Bible. The church is corrupted. sad but true

  • @stana7x which means follow the bible. Gods word is true. The story of Jesus might have been written this way to be more appealing back in the day. Maybe its true word for word n God made it like that to test our faith in him. Or maybe it was changed a bit throughout the past. or maybe the bible was always right n the pagans changed their dates n stories etc to corrupt our beliefs. either way i believe reading the bible is the key. its the true word of God. King James version is most accurate.

  • @stana7x Can't you see in your own words how you're twisting your delusion to suit what you want to believe? 'Maybe this, maybe that, it's still accurate'. Well, no it's not, because according to you there are a lot of flaws if there are a lot of 'maybes'. Wake up to yourself mate.

  • Its unfortunate that this information is in accurate but there are some who instead of reading for themselves will take this to be factual.

  • So according to what i just watched, religion is not real? There is no "son of God".... it is just a pattern of the sun over a course of 12 months. Sounds like it!

  • Hell, if I walked up to someone and said "hey, I can cure the blind with a wave of the hand," "hey, I can part the sea," ppl would assume I'm a nut case and throw me into a rubber room... Yet, ppl believe these outrageous claims literally, at face value, about someone who supposedly did all of this 2,000 yrs ago. I guess they just got too caught up in marvel comics or something and forgot how to separate fiction from reality.

  • Truth being told, so-called truth seekers who can't see beyond religion are a joke. A truth seeker questions things, the more taboo the subject, the more a real truth seeker will be obliged to question it. So lets be honest here, Y do ppl believe in their respective faiths? Could it be herd mentality? Theyr parents believed it, their teachers, and so on, it was the dominant religion for the geographic location and culture they grew up in.

  • @InvisibleMan542 Herd mentality doesn't explain change in beliefs. It doesn't explain the Protestant Reformation. If your theory was absolute and life was that simple, then the world would be vastly different than its present state.

  • What is it with ppl who say they are non-religious, or anti-religious, but then turn around and say "but I believe in Jebus" or "I follow the bible." What is it with these folks? Do they understand the meaning of the word double speak? Jesus is a specified theological diety, of a specified theology, religion. What if someone were to say "I don't believe in religion, but I worship Allah and follow the quran"? Hell they'd be just as stupid for it.

  • just fyi...

krishna was not born on 12/25....

  • @maximumfloyd neither was Jesus lol

  • You have to be young, uneducated, stupid or have an abiding faith in the "religion of zeitgeist" to believe these half truthes that end in false conclusions. You need to have a semi-mix of hindu, communism, hippie, music, dope smoking background like Peter Joseph to have the faith to hop over truth to pumping out this kind of false history of religion. The fact that their first target is Jesus aka God should tell you it is time to give Jesus, the relationship, not the religion, a second look.

  • @rattlesnakemilitia jesus is not god. jesus never claimed to be the son of god and you will never find that in your bible.

  • @gfheymoe Actually, Yes Jesus is the Most High God, the Son of God, the Messiah or Savior of the world, the Alpha and the Omega (the beginning and the end), imannuel (God with Us). Both the Old and New testament witnesses to that fact. He is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. BTW, Salvation is of the Jews and there is only one God.

You kind of waste your time with me as I received Jesus, did as the Bible said and now we talk, we have a relationship not head knowledge or religion.

  • @gfheymoe If you are honestly seeking, with all your heart Jesus AKA God is not hiding behind a rock. Ask him to clearly reveal himself to you and he will. Not on your terms but on his. But regarding Zeitgeist: The fact Peter Joseph approved this video and others reveals to me that he is a fraud like Alex Jones and so many other conmen.

  • @rattlesnakemilitia 'The relationship, not the religion', well that's a double standard if I've ever heard one.

  • @Y2KillerSPOOBLY Christianity is a relationship with Jesus, not a religion. Some have made it religion, but that was never God's intention, is all I am saying. It is reuniting with the Father. A Father and his children. Not asking your approval, just explaining it to those that may, recieve Jesus and enter into real life.

  • @rattlesnakemilitia The no true scotsman fallacy - an unreasoned assertion. When faced with a counterexample to a universal claim, rather than denying the counterexample or rejecting the original universal claim, you modify the subject of the assertion to exclude the specific case or others like it by rhetoric, without reference to any objective rule. In other words, you can twist the jesus myth to any ends and it still doesnt make sense. Good luck with your schizophrenia/temporal lobe epilepsy.

  • @Y2KillerSPOOBLY To that let me just say," No luck in the phony Zeitgeist foolishness." This video is false on it's face. No one but uneducated infantile minds would fall for it. Duh! I'm just pointing out Historical facts, take them of leave them at your own peril.

  • @rattlesnakemilitia really?

    Judaism = religion

    judaism--> christianity

    christianity= religion

    same shit homie

  • @raiderhog12 Take the main figure out of any religion, nothing changes. Take Jesus out of Christianity and you have nothing. Christianity is competed Judaism. Jesus created the earth for man. Walked in the garden in the cool of the day with man. Relationship!...which was broken and Jesus reinstated it. There is no argument here, just stating fact. I'm not justifying myself you, just informing. Clearing up misunderstanding. Jesus saves my life, gets me good parking..talks to me.

  • @rattlesnakemilitia Man.. Never ceases to amaze me. Evolution has been proven beyond a reasonable doubt. You cannot LOGICALLY argue a THEORY with FAITH. Faith has no backing, no proof. In time, human beings will be able to see things evolve(which we already have, but lab controlled). What are you going to do then? Continue plugging your ears and yelling LALALALALA. Do it all you want, doesn't change the facts.

  • @rattlesnakemilitia I used to be a man of faith. I know how the relationship is. You just never question it, and those who do and remain faithful come out as better human beings. So many sensless deaths have come out of religion. And I mean SOOO MANY DEATHS. I'm tired of seeing some of you crazy bastards trying to condem gay people, interracial couples etc. I know it's not all of you, but damn. Besides, Jesus just got made wasted off his 'homemade' wine and woke up in some cave three days later

  • @nread2010 I am talking about relationship, as in a father with powers greater than Superman. Able to stop time, heal the sick, raise the dead, get me goog parking, stop rain like he did last week for me. Talks as in you talking to me in life ending situations. I pray and God talks as in I hear him telling me specifically what to do to live. Example, set observers in, left, 5 miles away, God suddenly says, "go back and call them (radio), meet then here, take them West." continued

  • 2. In the above after we left the area opened up in gunfire close range. One man failed to hear my radio call but was a bit West so was not hit..told me what happened the next day. I was in a storm at sea. Auto pilot went out. First mate went below to get drunk as we were going to die. His father had the same experience. I screamed out a prayer. Told God I was about to pass out and then we would turn sideways and roll. continued

  • 3. I reminded him, he promised no more than I could take. He said, "Muerto" in Spanish. I feared as it means death. He said turn to port! I looked and saw an Island and it looked like a dead man on his back and remembered there was an Island called Muerto. Turning sideway to large tall waves was a bad idea, in the natural, but I did it and next thing I know I was behind the island and safe. I called the first mate and threw my self on my bunk beyond exhausted. continued

  • 4. I could go on and on from healings to time warps..similar to Bible stories. As for Murder in the name of Religion, so what, men murder in the name of everything including I feel like it. Do not blame God for man's sin. Do not loss God becaue of your sin. Do not throw the baby out with the dirty bath water. Jesus is your fire insurance, and your salvation from a flat tire to a nuclear war and 3 meals a day while you wait. Wake up and smell the manure..U R being tricked..

  • @nread2010 Sex with people of the same gender is a sin, as is sex with people you are not married to but run to God not away. Everyone sins, duh! There is only one race, human, so no sin to marry a black, white, red or yellow person. But you should only marry a Christian. I do not drink but it is not a sin. Jesus was dead in a tomb, rose on the third day. He was punished for our sins. Jesus never sinned. Recieve him and you get what he deserves, sonship. Adoption with full benefits!

  • @rattlesnakemilitia When you drive by Carls Jr. does God say "Hey, pull over. Smoke that doobie in your ashtray and get me a burger to go too, please?"

  • @nread2010 No never had that happen as I use my ashtray for change, No one smokes in my car or house. I do not smoke. I do eat Carls Jr. burgers but he has never told me to buy one for him, but I do buy them for the down and out, so that is buying one for him, right? The last weird thing he told me to do is get out of bed and visit someone. Someone I did not like. Resisting I did it. I arrived. They died! I covered them up, called for pick up, and went home. Did not understand WHY....

  • Take just 3 minutes to visit Wikipedia, an encyclopedia, or any credible source on every one of the gods cited in this video and you will see that there are "facts" that the "filmmaker" has just plain made up. Yes, there are elements of the Jesus narrative that are borrowed from other myths. This video fails to make that connection; instead, it invents things that don't exist.

  • I've seen this before, very interesting. As with a whole lot of goodies on YouTube or internet, read/study ask questions for yourself. For me, God (Jesus) is good, all the time & its gonna take a whole lot more than a video to change that. I do think its healthy to ask questions, life is about seeking.

  • Video gives good insight. But again, I'd rather do my own research because I'm still a believer of Christ although this is all worthy information. It's worth looking into, if you do your own research isntead of believing any and everything you hear.

  • this video made me atheist. thanks goodness!

  • wouldn't it depend what time your looking at the 3 kings ( orions belt) considering it's always spinning as the earth rotates?

  • so what about people in yhe southern hemisphire ?

  • I'm trying not to believe this...but it just makes too much sense

  • Set (also spelled Seth, Setesh, Sutekh, Setekh or Suty) was in Ancient Egyptian religion, a god of the desert, storms, and foreigners. In later myths he was also the god of darkness, and chaos.

  • "In later Egyptian dynastic times, Ra was merged with the god Horus, as Re-Horakhty ("Ra, who is Horus of the Two Horizons"). He was believed to rule in all parts of the created world the sky, the earth, and the underworld."

Maybe you should do some research before you start saying this is false

  • thought ra was the egyptian sun god -.- failll

  • Comment removed

  • @alfacentauro How can someone be zionist and nazi? When ending the comment with "IGNORANCE!", were you referring to yourself?

  • i have a question, to those who believe in what this videos says. Have you taken the time to research for yourself the suppose facts this video is saying or are you just basing truth on what is said in the video?

  • @WorDz001 Have you taken time to research the facts that you heard in the church or you just basing truth on what they told u? I don't mean to hurt you...I don't mind if someone believes in "God" or whatever u call it. It's a better solution turning to "God" if you have a problem than drinking and being aggressive. I just simply can't believe in this stuff.

  • This is one big pile of inaccuracies and plain ignorance.

  • @ernstbg25 is it? are you sure your version is the correct one?

  • @NWOisgoingDOWN There are no "versions" when it comes to facts. One cannot agree or disagree with nonsense and fictive claims. This video is all wrong, simple as that.

  • @ernstbg25 You're in denial... That is pathetic and sad... You're a lost cause, nothing will change your life. =(

  • @IMAGINE5677 My life is really not of your business. Your vulgar ignorance is what is sad.

  • @ernstbg25 I agree with you i belive that god is forreal

  • @ernstbg25 just because you don't understand it, or have any knowledge of human history where this IS what happened and how things were perceived back then, does not mean it's inaccurate

  • @Jackmya91 I happen to have solid knowledge of ancient history. I am fluent in Ancient Greek and Latin and have several academic degrees in humanities from several eminent institutions. I am responsibly saying that this is plain rubbish.

  • Did it hurt....first...

  • wow, really??//
