You sure have a knack for covering my favorite songs...I've been listening to Elliott's version a whole lot lately. I really enjoy this version too & your take on it matches well with the video, cool and crawling like the sun-soaked winter waves hissing against the shore in slo-mo. I also enjoy the piano break-down at the end.

Perhaps it sounds a bit gushing, but I really wish Elliott had survived to witness your covers. I imagine he would have been quite moved and who knows what would have happened? I can only hope my songs one day warrant a great cover...it seems the ultimate appreciation and fulfillment of communication after all.

I found the monitor exactly where it was, down by the water where the cruise ships dock. Yesterday I saw one out in the rain that had these little ear things (built in speakers).

I guess if it tried to speak with it's ears it had it coming up to him being left out in the rain, lol! - I thought it was a great René Magritte-like surrealistic idea placing the monitor there: "C'est ne pas un moniteur." ;)
