This is directed, for sure. The pitchfork is laying in the front of the camera, very convenient for the shooting, and it lands on exact same spot, but now dripping of blood. And then Sarah picks up the camera with her mother shouting in the back before the recording is interrupted. The way it ends, with the girl picking up the camera makes it all very realistic. All together it's very convincing and well done, but never the less directed, with a clever sense of humour and a lot of talent.
