its either an ex military or ex cargo plane. clearly its either a 1 or 2 series cos its got a small hump, the 3 n 4 series have a longer hump (by approx 10 meteres correct me if I'm wrong?) I'm guessing it might be an ex Lufthansa Cargo 747-200 or 100. Once again correct me if i'm wrong thats only my guess.
IMPRESSIVE show from the Toureg. and if i was going to buy any airliner it wouldn't be a 747 it'd be an Airbus A350-900... more power, longer range and more classier than a 747.
your lawn mower would break under the force of over 10,000 pounds. the reason why that the touareg could hold all of that weight is that it had a very heavy and stiff unibody that results in an overall weight of 5,300 pounds
The touareg is still amazing. It doesn't matter how fake 5th gear is. British TV programs are usually filled with Bullshit anyway. They always stack the odds, to make something seem amazing.
But the Touareg is still amazing, and the engine is crazy!!!
I just fell off my chair! Wow!

So ?
What a waste of time, money and petrol.
Next time us a pocket calculator to figure this out.

I'd expect top gear to do that on their track, not this looper pretending he's a plane

If you gear it down enough my lawn mower can pull that jet. It is pretty neat demo though.

If you gear it down enough, and put enough balast in it my rideing lawn mower can pull that same jet using a fan belt for linkage.
Lets see it pull the jet at a real speed.

The Touareg is just another Chelsea tractor, now what the need to do is find a proper 4x4 i.e. a Defender and show those germans how its really done!

oh man, what a car...awesome

In the worlds strongest man competition, a single human being towed a 747 over a distance, forget using a crappy school run VW for the job.

That was so easy. I'd like to see them trying to pull an oiltanker with a touareg on waterskis. That I could respect.

even though if it's a hollow plane, it still is made of metal and not a tin can. You can't even have a production car pull a 727.

It's a hollow plane with fake engines use in the filming of Casino Royale film.
