Did you customize the added casing, handles, and antenna connectors yourself or are there kits/parts already adaptable to the FT-897D to enable this? I've been searching and cannot find anything comparable. I like how compact this makes it which means it's much more portable - a real manpack.
@N2OPQ The handles and case are custom made by me. The connectors are regular uhf and N connectors. The whip connector is custom made for this antenna because it has a metric thread instead of the traditional 3/8x24 connector.
