@110110110786 Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) kissed Al-Hajar Al-Aswad; he addressed it saying: "I know that you are just stone that does neither harm nor benefit. Had I not seen the Prophet (peace be upon him) kissing you, I would not have kissed you.
what are we to do with the muslims who pray in mosques where people are burried and what would be the best ruling according to Quran and Sunnah insha Allah?
Salafiyyah is not a sect it is a manhaj (methodology). A sect is sticking to a certain group blindly and not accepting any other way. For example someone says, "I am hanafi" and therefore if there is a correct opinion amongst the hanbali manhaj he won't accept it, because he is "hanafi" and they are "hanbali." Salafiyyah is the methodology that we follow the prophet (peace be upon him and his companions, those who followed, and those who followed them. The best of the ummah.
Also Salafiyyah can be considered to be a synonym with Sunnah. So, just as it is allowed for a person to belong to Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah it is allowed for a person to belong to (or rather ascribe to) As-salaf us saalih(pious predecessors). Please listen to these videos again for a better understanding inshAllaah.
Also there is a difference between following the Scholars and respecting them and having bigotted blind following to them.
@thegthang23 the prophet didnt call himself salafiyah. shouldnt we just follow the quran and sunnah and call ourselfes muslim because thats what the prophet did.isnt it haram to call yourself shia, sunni and all the rest.
This is kind of ironic. He is saying that it's not good to follow or belong to a sect, or a sheikh, but when he himself says we are the salafi. By he says we are salafi, then he is being a part of sect, or group which is exactly what he is telling people not to do. The sheikhs he says is not good to follow are sheikhs that only followed the Prophet PBUH, and the companions of the Prophet PBUH. Just how I understood this.
btw im 1st!!..lol..hey im wondering if we should stop this whole 1st thing...coz it kinda looks reeeally childish and i feel bad since i kinda started it with us...lol
