  • How did this guy place 7th in the crossfit games when his technique is this shitty? He probably had a crossfit A & M spotting him and counting the reps like they did in this video. Hats off to Crossfit A & M for doing a shitty job!

  • you guys are wasting your time with the kipping pull ups, you arent doing them properly... go watch a few kipping pull up technique videos. if you arent doing the full movement right to your chest you aint doin shit but pumpin urself up wasting energy

  • I do crossfit and can tell you that his chin ups are not going high enough. He is very fit, but even with kipping pullups you need to make your chin clear the bar...

  • yeah,...my comment. is not one pull up counted. yes been doing crossfit for a while. a little hint, take a piece of tape, tape it on your coller bone then try. yes this maybe one of many work outs, but that just means you where doing many work outs incorrect. but that is just this guy does it.

  • try learning how to do pull ups! good effort all the same.

  • And yes even if the puppups looks to short or whatever..this is all about speed and phase,yhe moust amount of body movment in the shortest period of time, if you do crossfit 100% serious then you are allround trained, you can do kipping, non kipping or 10 reps with 30 kg it doesn matter tou try it all.

    Running short, long...high intense or heavy.

    Thats what fitness is all about...be ready for whatever, this wod is just "one" wod in crossfits allround traing program.

  • This video must be pretty old too. Dutchs kip is weak here. He has one of the most beautiful "butterfly" kips now, and easily gets chest to bar.

  • This is funny, anyone who has a little fitness knowledge knows that crossfit is incredible hard.... it takes more effort,allround fitness, conditioning out of your body in one month then ordinary gym training does in years.

    I hear you guys that has issues about pullups etc, and ive had the same thoughts BEFORE i started training crossfit fulltime. Its simpel..try it your selfs in what form you chose, not until then will you know how allround trained this guys are.

TRUE they are short on the pull-ups, but anyone complaining would get there ass kicked by him in any event. 7th Place in the crossfit games speaks for itself. IF YOUR THAT WORRIED ABOUT IT, DO SHORT PULL-UPS AND SEE IF YOU BEAT THE TIME! MY TRUE FRAN TIME IS 5:35, SO EVEN IF I CHEATED PULLUPS, I WOULD MAYBE BREAK 4:50 AT BEST!   • Fran is what you see... 21-15-9 reps per set of 95 lbs Thrusters (Front squat overhead press) and Pullups. For time!
