  • agreed, my apologies

  • Baltimore would not help the colts keep there stadium in shape. They had enough. Colts belong to INDY!!!!!

  • i grew up and live in Seattle.....the BALTIMORE Colts will always be my one and only pro team.....I will hate Robert Irsay (who i once met at a Seattle Seahawks game in the late 70s drunk and staggering) until the day I die.........

at least Modell had the decency to leave Cleveland it's history..........

  • colts turned their back on Baltimore? they left because they had a shitty stadium, played in a shitty town, and most of all BECAUSE NO ONE SHOWED UP TO THE GAMES! god damn them for try to move out of a giant ghetto to a place where the fans would appreciate a sports team.

  • @MsFriedchiken Robert Irsay: "If you love the Colts so much, then why don't you treat me right!"

  • Obviously you chicken eating bag of fat you must live in Indianapolis and are therefore a thief like your city. Shut up, get a life and lay off the chicken fats!

  • :46 words of pure truth. Build the Colts a stadium you keep your team. Irsay waited 12 years, and nothing. Even Baltimore's great owner Rosenbloom wanted to move in '72, but he found it a better proposition to trade for the ownership of the Raiders.

  • Grown men CRYING over this? Utterly disgraceful waste of humanity.

  • Wow. Young fella, didn't understand then; can't imagine this happening to the Bears; although I heard it almost happened with them and Sox. Dude welling up at the end - 27 years later.

    Wow.

  • To sum up, the Baltimore Raven's fans should get down and kiss Irsay's butt (or his son's or whoever running the colts) for showing them how to do it, and even improving on his underhandedness. And also treat the indy colt fans real well when they come to town. You both have close kinship.

  • I love the way the anouncer says "and then the Baltimore Ravens came to town. The Cleveland Browns didn't really come to town, did they? What Hypocrisy! I think these Baltimore fans actually believe they got the expansion team and not Cleveland. Delusional to say the least. Irsay might have committed a great sin but so did the city of Baltimore. Two peas in a pod. Now Baltimore and Indy are carpetbaggers. Their criticism of Irsay is like Stalin criticising Hitler for too much killing.

  • @relcaldwell Lol, com'on with the Hitler stuff.

  • @relcaldwell You nailed it bro! Oh how could indy steal our team oh poor us! Then they turn around and rip out Cleveland's heart. Total hypocrisy. They should have waited and tried expansion again and again before they hurt another city.

  • Try dealing with that bag of shit that ran the NFL then , Paul Tagliabue. Baltimore had several deals above and beyond the cities that got expansion teams but Tagliabue did not want Baltimore to have a team. Hell, we would have been happy to keep the name and history as Cleveland was "allowed" to do but Tagliabue would have none of it. So, we just used their prefered method, we STOLE them but again that was just the players and unlike Baltimore Cleveland still has it's legacy and name.

  • @Dandy5th Baltimore ripped out the hearts of Browns fans. I will never defend the move to Indianapolis, the Colts belong to Baltimore and got screwed. Your statement of "So, we just used their prefered method, we STOLE them" just reminds me of the old phrase "two wrongs don't make a right."

  • Maybe this thread will be here far into the future. I predict the Ravens will move again in 2027 and I'll predict the Cleveland Expansion Browns to move in 2021, Browns first because the expansion team is the weaker franchise.

  • When they move again, and they will eventually, don't get mad. It's just business. You can just steal someone else team. Maybe in 300 or 400 years, Cleveland and Baltimore will have had dozen or so different names and franchises.

  • And that crap about leaving the legacy and the colors in Cleveland. That's like selling premium goods and then packaging crap and saying it's the same thing because it's got the same label. In Baltimore's case, they stole the premium product and put a new label on it. Might be a new label but it's still the Browns inside the package. To say the new Browns are the Browns is like saying a Beatles imitation group is the same as the real thing.

  • By saying it was not alright for the colts to move to Indy but alright for the browns to move to Baltimore reminds me of the kid who cried because he got bullied and later went on to give the same bullying done to him to other kids.

  • If you think it won't happen again. You aint thinkin' cause it will.

  • Its for that reason pro football sucks. What goes around always comes around. Sometime in future, maybe between 2020 and 2030 we will see the conditions right for another Baltimore move, maybe we will see the Los Angelas Ravens, and the lowly expansion Browns will eventually move again, too. It will we be Clevelands third loss, losing the Cleveland Rams to LA in 1945. Perhaps it will be the Santa Fe Browns.

  • Baltimore should have been the team saddled with the inferior expansion team, not Cleveland. Instead Baltimore got the established Cleveland Browns franchase and it's tradition of fielding a consistant winner, and in effect stole the Super bowl from Cleveland.

  • Baltimore deserved the Irsay move since they stole the Browns from Cleveland, leaving Cleveland with a crappy espansion franchise, one that didn't get any of the perks and pluses given to Jacksonville and Carolina, one that was set up to lose.

  • Bob Irsay was far from a saint, but the bottom light is it was his team and not the Baltimore's.

  • that was horrible

  • So let me get this straight, the Colts literally left Baltimore in the middle of the night without anybody knowing?

  • @Fanik10 Yes. In a Mayflower Bus. Fuck Irsay.

  • @Pogogunner So what would happen if you saw a Mayflower Truck in Baltimore in Winter? peg it with snowballs?, lol

  • Anyone who complains about Art Modell's move should see this.

  • its an odd thing. baltimore's football club leaves town and the heart of that city was just ripped out. that place wasnt really the same since. of course its hokey that a sports team should mean so much to a place but it is what it is. sorry indy, the colts will always be baltimores first love.

  • Happy Days for us Hoosiers! GO COLTS RAVENS SUCK!

  • @IndyB25Look who's 0-10? At least we have a better record than you Irsays.
