I'm currently sharing a continent with England and they are fucking hard to beat. I've got 2 atomic bombs developed and I hit their biggest capitol (London) with one and it only took it down to half health. I'd be wasting 2 nuclear bombs to take over their capitol. Should I risk it?

I also need to secure some Uranium but Germany has it.....I'm fucked. ROFL

In this installment of civilization, can nukes destroy a city to the point where the city is actually gone? In 3 and I think 4, when nuking a city the population is severely reduced, all units within the city destroyed, surrounding tiles irradiated etc. and it always seemed more logical, to me anyways, that a city would simply become a crater. Is that the case in this Civilization 5?

@Cooldood360 yeah but there is a damage bar. nukes in the game weaken the city and irradiate the area and food supply. its basicaly not there and its a capital. they have to take the other cities first i think.
