Turning Britt Reid from an intelligent, responsible and sophisticated businessman as played by Van Williams into the irresponsible moron played by Seth Rogen is an insult to the character, the fans and the legacy of the Green Hornet. The producers,the actors and the network went back and forth with this subject until Van Williams and Bruce Lee got fed up.

As far as the first Batman w/ Michael Keaton, I think Jack Nicholson carried the movie as the Joker. Keaton was not the right choice for Batman as the sequel tanked.

You really need to lighten up man, like I said taking it too seriously would be a mistake, the tv show took it self too seriously ( at times cause sometimes it was goofy as all hell) and it lasted ONE SEASON.

It's really hard for me to picture Seth Rogan as a superhero. I mean casting Rogan as the Green Hornet is like recasting Adam West to play Batman allover. I don't know who wanted to cast seth as Green Hornet, but who ever did was probably smoking more pot than rogan.

rogen is serisouly deluded. there's footage on you tube of a scene from this movie, where rogen exclaims "Dude!" to kato, and there are pictures online of him drunkenly running away from cops, after cutting the head off of his fathers statue. thats how kato and britt bond, over mutual hatred of britts dad. good to see Rogen can rape a classic, influential character, all in the name of giving his himself an extra minute of fame.

I don't doubt it is well acted. The point is, these hollywood actors think that they can tackle any role without consulting the hard-core fans,if any, of a dark and complex character who happens to be a crime fighter.
I was excited when I first read that Kevin Smith would be writing the script but something happened and he decided not to do it. When I heard that Seth Rogen would be playing the mythical character,it was like someone stuck a metal -shrapnel in my heart that even though was not.

(cont.) The big wigs at Hollywood are as stubborn as a mule. History is full of examples. Look at Batman ,they have to reboot the whole franchise. They got the right guy this time (Bale) ,excellent script and great director( Christopher Nolan) and the fans were elated. Spider-Man,the same w/ Tobey Maguire,great drama actor,he even looks like Peter Parker and of course Sam Raimi as director. Iron Man (Downey Jr,), and the list goes on and on.
Seth Rogen should look deep down and reconsider.

My guess is,his last two movies underperformed and now wants to play a tough and dark crime fighter to go back on top. Seth Rogen is strictly one dimensional when it come's to acting.His writing & directing is much better than his "attempt" at acting.Jay Chou as Kato......who????? Yeah-and then it will SUCK if it's a parody. I'd rather have a gritty, dark GH flick thanks very much--even Russell Crowe as GH and Jason Scott Lee as Kato. They SHOULD have gotten Andy On from Black Mask 2 if they weren't able to get Jet Li to play Kato... Jet most likely bowed out when he heard Seth Rogan (Gaaaaak!) was Green Hornet! Either way I'm sure Knowles from 'Ain't It Cool' will say "Awesome! Mind-blowing!" like he does for EVERY flick lately-even when it's pure SHIT. He lost his nads.
