  • avon so looks like Proof here

  • who do they think is in there, tony montana? -mcnulty

  • this was christmas for them damn feds smh!! i hate all them fuckas mcnutly that damn LT daniels

  • Idris Elba you have Academy Award winning potential. Excellent Actor, wait for great roles

  • McNulty wanted Stringer so badly

    But so did Omar lol

  • String gets forever alone.

  • There should be a picture of Avon next to the letter G in a dictonary

  • he goin in da house for all day

  • each time avon gets arrested he's just liesurely waiting for the cops, the king stays the king :/

  • @mcbarkus man i was so fucken sad when he got arrested the second time, i was like fuck he wasnt even out for long, wanted to see a lot more of Avon.

  • did anyone notice the similarity of the stairwell scene to the scene in the episode where bodie and poot kill wallace? its like..the same shit but reversed.

  • @GanjikaAranyaka Both scenes have characters forced into doing things they don't want to because of the organization they are a part of. Poot doesn't want to kill Wallace any more than McNulty wants to leave Stringer on the street. But because Burell ordered the warrants and Stringer ordered the hit, both had to jump.

  • @GellZ15

i can dig the comparison. they did both have that same look, meaning bodie and daniels against mcnulty and poot

  • One of the best scenes of the series.

  • "Look at these Delta Force motherfuckers, man." Perfect

  • daniels stay with dat crucial mean mug

  • Totally deconstructed the average cop show or movie. Otherwise, it'd be another big shootout.

  • Why'd they have all those cops for Avon it's a no brainer he would cooperate cause basically why would he try to get into more trouble and make it alot more harder to for him to get out of jail. But I dunno if it was Chris I would put the swat team on him jus to be safe

  • @puppykiller206 McNulty and Daniels address that at the beginning of the scene. The idea behind bringing the swat team is because you don't know whether or not Avon will go quietly. So you bring in SWAT and they are usually meat heads and they are just itching to kick down the door and are looking for a fight. So of course they bring more toys than needed to take down 2 men.

McNulty and Daniels know better which is why they go in themselves.

  • "Catch ya later."

  • Comment removed

  • also avon at 2:24, how he has a half smile that shows he's already thinking about how to stay on top from the inside of a jail cell.

  • LOVE big man at 1:28, Love how daniels is ice cold. He is overlooked as one of the most badass characters on the show

  • @maxinator3000 Agreed, he stares straight through people

  • i first saw "mcnulty" in that sandra bullock movie "28-days." the british accent was in full effect.

  • Jimmy knew that Avon wasn't as an important take down as Stringer would have been...An educated nigga is dangerous.

  • yes its the same security guard....big mean bastard

  • I never understood why it's broad daylight when McNulty and Daniels enter the building, but by the time They walk out the door, it's pitch dark outside...

Also, is the big black security guard the same one who claims all the guns and grenades belong to him when Avon is arrested the second time?

  • @prokrastinatorSF Look again man, 02:58. It's dark in the stairway, but you see how it's really bright outside judging from the light that's cast through the door.

  • @Cederfjard Maybe more like 02:55.

  • i like how stringer keeps expecting to get cuffed but it doesnt happen, lol

  • @qwaycee I think he did it to piss mcnulty off

  • No sense in ruining a good safe....

  • "look at these delta force muhfuckas man" lmao

  • avon dat nigga

  • There's something very comedic about the way the swat guy takes the big black door man away

  • avon looks like he's about to go golfing

  • @OlderG0ds lol yes

  • Stringer Bell is as hard as a rock. I don't care how good a cop you are. Even if you do arrest him, you're not going to get him into an interrogation room and force a confession out of him.

  • @lildwayne21 rofl, he turns snitch.

  • @weglarz true

  • @weglarz He only turned rat to save Barksdale's crew. Even after String got killed, Avon's gang woulda fallen. No Co-Op dope from Prop Joe. But I love how after String's gone, Avon's like, "Fuck this war, let's just do business." Amazing series, really. As great as Idris was as String, Wood Harris really did a great job with Avon. A very likable dude considering he's a fuckin murderer.

  • @LibPornQuig I COMPLETELY agree about Wood Harris. It's a boderline iconic performance and definitely overlooked. I like Idris Elba..he's from my home town Hackney, but Harris was mesmerising.

  • why did mcnulty always want stringers ass so bad?

  • @essentialtee09 Stringer was McNulty's criminal match in terms of intellect and ability to manipulate others....McNulty in a way respected Stringer

  • I hate Daniels so much. He's a great character but such an awful awful actor

  • You're wrong. The guy is a fantastic actor.

  • @axelentertainmentAX Agree. Maybe if he took that pole out of his arse he might improve.

  • best anti-climax ever

  • why didnt they arrest stringer too??

  • They didn't have anything on Stringer once Wallace got killed and D'Angelo didn't roll. Nothing on the taps implicated him and they bugged Orlando's too late.

  • @TBIGMIL

    he wasnt on the tapes.

  • Who was the Mountainoid who emerged from the building @ 1:32? Cobra Bubbles?

My daughter (who saw the vid but DIDN'T hear the dialogue reacted by saying, "Daddy, that's YOU!"

  • lol

  • "Do they think it's Tony Montana up there?" Priceless.

  • "Delta Force" lol, Avon must have thought they were military

  • The police officer that Daniels told to 'back off' is a real-life Baltimore Swat team member. He makes a couple of appareances in 'The Wire' including the arrests at the 'pit' following the killing of the (spoiler) young boy in season 2.

  • That moment of right there of not being able to arrest Stringer haunted McNulty for the rest of the series(along with his other demons).

  • Avon the truth. Loved how he looked at Russell, like you lucky cat.

  • Finding out McNulty was British was like finding out Santa Claus doens't exist.

  • Stringer from london, it where you're from its where your at. UK represent in the best tv show of all time.

  • He does so exist. He brings me presents if I'm good.

  • @WampRatHolocaust Stringer bells english aswell

  • @WampRatHolocaust It shouldn't be that much of a surprise - British actors do tend to be the best! ;)

Of course Stringer is also English!! Aiiiiiiiiiii

  • @WampRatHolocaust what u mean Santa Claus doesn't exist...? My parents lied to me?

  • @WampRatHolocaust

Yup, Notice how he says "Tony Montaner"... the British seeps through.

  • @WampRatHolocaust he's not the only Brit on that show though

  • @WampRatHolocaust Stringer is british too

  • @BeatPerfection really?

  • @Nicholad99 yeah, look up idris elba

  • @WampRatHolocaust i thought he was irish?

  • @WampRatHolocaust Stringer Bell is British too. Idris Elba's from London.

  • that man ain't even stressin losing $150K LOL! that's when you KNOW you makin cheese...not this nickle and dime $500 or $600 a week bull that these wannabes make that claim they thugs. LOL

  • Them same nickel and dime niggas will run up in ya spot and smoke everything, that's what makes them thugs. Them the niggas big dudes like Avon need in order to have a ship to sail.

A wise man once told me there is nothing more valuable than a broke nigga with heart. Wrap ya head around that. A wannabee is someone that don't play the game at all, but pretends to.

If you see a low level dude bossing some youngins around he is building rank. Rank must be established.

  • LOLOL!! Sounds like you really took the time out to think about that man...

  • Real talk.

  • what "wise" man told you that???

  • You don't see the wisdom in what was said?

  • Avon be so calm.

  • What a classic scene. In the commentary David Simon talks about the parallelism between McNulty's reluctance to come down the stairs to Poot's reluctance to come up the stairs when they kill Wallace. Proud to be WIRE fan.

  • Avon is the truth !!!

  • Tony Montanar

  • lmao mcnulty-What do they think Tony Montana is up there lol

  • great show

  • McNulty vs. String was the shit

  • AVON A O.G.

  • @NMFlyer25 an o.g.?
