  • In the mid '60's there was a young English guitarist that cut off the tips of most ot his fretting fingers. Doctors told him he would never be able to play again. He gave up hope until a friend gave him a record by Django Reinhardt. That young man was Tony Iommi who later started a band named "Black Sabbath" and is credited with inventing heavy metal.

  • @MrJihadJesus Great man!

  • this is not 1945 this is from 1952

  • @Lorando2oo8 Hmm, how do you know? Any good source or something? Thanks.

  • at 1:07 ... das sind die guten "Kolben"... he he he

  • Unfucking believable this is pure perfection!!!

  • q lindo :-)

  • Great vid? I don't think the audio here is the same as the vid...?

  • @pencap23 Unfortunatelly not. But this is how it was recorded.

  • Sometimes people lose things for a reason. Maybe he lost his fingers so he could produce his amazing notes. I really dont think he would have been better with 4. It's amazing what the human body can do after a lost. He had heart to carry on and is one of my favorites.

  • @fearfultom You have my respect, my friend! Best comment.

  • @XiphosssI love this composition!!! It's a pleasure for posting it!!

  • @n64wilbert For those who don't know the name of the composition, the name is "Nuits de St-Germain des Pres".

  • Awesome

This is great Bebop sound and Django is still my favorite:

you can even play with just one finger if you are a genius:

    HE was

  • Incroyable la volonté que l'on peut développer quand la passion vous guide, quant elle vous submerge! Deux doigts seulement, quel exemple pour tous!!

Django Reinhardt à jamais dans mon âme...

  • Could anyone perform like that with two fingers nowadays?

  • @sot11cat Yeah.

  • @Xiphosss who?

  • @CTiger1207 Look up for Christophe Lartilleux videos.

Anyways, nobody, and I mean -NOBODY- will have the precision that Django had. Not even with 4-5 fingers, no. He was PERFECT.

  • @Xiphosss What the boulsh|t. My Dream is to born artist like Django or even better then him. More beautiful music would be created...

  • @sot11cat the edge from u2 tries but falls terribly short

  • Amazing!

  • so this is how a music video looked like back in 1518?! Seriously that was a pretty nice tune though.

  • Nuit a saint Germain !! This is thé tittle !

  • Anyone, what's the name of this song? I must know!!!

  • His note selections never cease to amaze me....
