@Octopieable no, its not flawed. Reece is from the future to begin with. He was sent from the future to save sarah. In this time line Reece does not exist yet. Cameron played with an old who was here first chicken or the egg thing. Terminator 1 and 2 are masterpeices. T2 is one of the best films ever made. The story is perfect, acting is perfect there is not a single flaw.

He then realises that time travel is possible in the future and figures out that skynet has figured this out to send someone back and eliminate young john connor or sarah connor from exitance. He does the same sends someone to intercept skynets plans, but that someone is a person who will father him. Its a complex and abstract theory. There is a good deal of evidence that time travel is possible.
We measure time by speed of light. 3.00x10^23 is the speed of light. That is around 300 000 000 ms-1 or 300 000 Km per second. Now if u manage to travel faster by this u actively can travel into the future. its an abstract which involves time and space lawas which we still do not understant entirely but if you manage to reduce mass to cancel it out its possible to achive faster then light travel since the mass is the thing that stops us achieving it. The only problem is that we humans strive for self-preservation (i.e. we want to be the last beings standing), which is most likely why some people kill over trivial differences like skin color, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, et al. That is, as The Terminator said earlier, we end up destroying ourselves, since after all, Skynet--for all its knowledge & tech--was created by humanity. It just grew a brain & became smarter.
