  • oh man this was great. A little silly, a little satirical, but in total, a great homage.

  • Hi i was just wondering how you transferred the film you used to a projector to be able to record it, or did you have to use one of those really old projectors, see im after doing roughly what you've created here for a film studies project and andy advise would be great, thanks.

  • DUDE! YOU'RE AWESOME!

both filming and guitar. holy shit. \m/ haha.

btw-how'd you film this? yah, i'm making a film for school with the minor issue of... not knowing how to.

  • thank you. really this is a parody of the french new wave style. me and a few friends made this and took a lot of main points in this stlye I.E. smoking, and death. basically we wanted to have fun and kill me at the end and it worked well i think. We also did in camera edits. NO need to splice the film. the last thing is you might see slight flickering, thats because i transfered it be projecting it on the wall and filming the projection. i though it gave it more character!

  • ohh, sweet. yeah, i gathered the parody intention. yeah, you pulled off the flickering! ahh, you see i'm just planning on filimg it with a slightly juvenile camcorder..yeiks. its true. i was just gonna upload it onto my pc.. did you use a nifty editing program? and sorry, what kind of camera did you use? was there lighting and all of that involved?

sorry if i'm annoying, however its really appreciated

  • haha not annoying at all. the camera was a film camera called a bolex, a friend bought one on ebay for $20!! we used just the light out side, so whatever was available from sunlight. It's tricky with film, but once you know how to light meter it goes pretty quick. We projected it on a wall then recorded it with an hd camera called a XH-A1. we were able to rent one. we didn't to to much editing, most of it was rehersing before shooting then whatever was filmed was the version we used.

  • ohhhhhhhhhhh, i see. that's cool, so whatever cuts and chopping you did was just from what you filmed. i'm worried mine will turn out like, a lame home vid. hope not! yours looks pro, im serious. woah, 20 hey? thats pretty sweet! and then you just dubbed the audio over. obvi done with a comp. i plan to just put subtitles on the bottom with their mouths moving, haha. windows movie maker.

  • that music and sound are all from a movie called Love Me If You Dare. its pretty cool u should check it out. If ur worried about making stuff good, you could look at 2 major things; plot and cinematography. if u have a good plot people will like it or if the images look good people will like it.

  • the editing program i use now is FINAL CUT PRO. it looks intimidating, but its really a good program. i have a mac so i guess IMovie would be the same as windows movie maker. i did my first video "when u wish upon a guitar" on IMovie and it was fun cus i used the cheesiest effects possible. good luck on the film, but just have fun don't worry about what people say.

  • ohh, that sounds interesting. when you mentioned cheesy, i thought of spinal tap, lol. ok, i'll be sure to check that flick out..

final cut, i've heard of it. i'm using vegas pro 8.0. to me, that's pretty damn intimidating. i click one option and a whole seperate window with a gazillion buttons pops up. but we learn by just playin around, i spose.

thank you! i'm certainly going to need it.

  • wow very well made
