I used to have this stick for SW galaxies jump to lightspeed, took it back cuz I could not afford it at the time. I think it used to cost way over $100 now its $99. Thinking of getting it again unless there is something better for cheaper.

stanbony, can you tell me where to get the vista software for VITSA? my joystick is backordered by bestbuy, but it'll be here soon. i want to get ahead on the software before it comes. also i downloaded the demo HAWX, i played with my other SAITEK joystick brand and it worked the frist day. on the second day, the joystick wasn't compactible or working in the game anymore. but i tested the joystick in my FSX game and it worked. do you know why that happened?

@captainlenon sure bro, just go to saitek's website and look for your model and driver package, you'll know its correct if the lights on the throttle screen come on.

@stanbony yeah, go to the website, get the proper drivers and then still fail because all that windows 7 says when connecting it is "Unknown Device" and the driver installation won't progress because it's waiting for the joystick to be connected.

Contacting the "nice people at saitek-website" results in not getting any answer, not even after 2 weeks.

For me "Saitek" is a no-go now.

It works on no USB-Ports except for my keyboard ones - which result in bluescreens due to too low power. Weird crap

The one thing I don't like about the X-52 set is the Stick is way to lose. No matter how I calibrated/tuned it was just unbearable. The Throttle was really nice. though I ended up taking it back and getting the Rudder pedals instead. They on the other hand are amazing.

the pro version is much better value for money, mainly because it doesn't fall apart / break in the first 3 months, as some saitek product often have done for me, including my cyborg x joystick.

hello! thanks for the video which helped me make up my mind but i have two more questions. hope that you can answer quick and objectively. 1 is that possible to use only the throttle with an other joystick( thinkin about a logitech one) i mean use separately the throttle on a usb and my logitech joy via another usb port. 2 did you have any drivers problems or bugs...and last 3 isnt the joystick too soft coz i hate that: hope that this x52 is not soft what you feel? waiting for your answer

This joystick has a twist mode, so when you twist it, the rudder will turn to the right or left. So don't buy the rudder pedal, if are only buying this saitek flight stick. If you buy the saitek flight yoke, you'll need a rudder pedal set. Hope it will help you :)

Yeah all you need to do is press Alt in game and go to options + Controls + Calibrate joystick then double click your joysticks name then go to the top of the box that pops up and press settings then press the calibrate button. Follow the instructions and hit apply when done. Coment on my profile on how it works.

In FS2004 when flying any aircraft just do these steps as long as you have the joystick plugged in and you are in the flying mode of the game:)

deadzone is the point from dead center as you move the stick to the point it reacts. If you are into flight sims its a good buy, just for hawx I would sat no, and it has a prety bad deadzone on hawx but it may have drivers for a fix, not sure.

Hawx is maybe a good game, but im really more infor FSX & FSXA is harder and more controls ofc, like driving a F-16 Viper isnt easy since its two (2) afterburners and alot of function controlling and checking.

My Logitech 3D Pro has vibration capable gaming if the game allows it. But you can do all the same stuff that the x52 can do with this game just the same but only like $100au cheaper maybe more as it's only $50au at Harvey Norman

And I ran over the character limit Stanbony I recommend that you look into a game that is called " DCS: Blackshark" to use your x52 to its full potential. I think it comes out in March 26 for the U.S

I have this joystick but there are 2 problems I can't stand about it. After awhile your suction cups dont suck properly and they wont stick so they can tend to slide around a bit.

2nd problem is that the large LED display on the throttle control went out on mine. I have also read on reviews that it goes out for alot of other people to. Other than that though it is a good HOTAS system.

Certainly does the job well hope you enjoy it anyway. Me I waiting for street fighter IV in June will be my next game but I might pick up Unreal 3 black off steam as it's cheap for the week. I will be getting a new HD monitor and CPU cooler at some point as well. I enjoy your benchmarks and reviews as it points me in the direction of items like the last remnant benchmark nice one that but I only get 70fps so not as nice as your set up have a good one.
