  • Haha Shame Thinking Bartender. You got smoked by scotland!!!

  • The reason i called it a Martini isn't because it comes in a Martini Glass. The reason its a martini is 60mls Vodka and a splash of vermouth. The drink is made in this style, the term martini pays homage to the origin of the style of drink and also lets a customer know how much alcohol is going to be in this type of drink. Its named the same way i name all my drinks, following their classic definition whether it be a collins, a fizz, a smash, a rickey, a julep or whatever it may. Point answered?

  • He justifies it as being a Martini by adding a splash of dry vermouth!?!

  • I think you've got a point. I think the term martini is used too frequently to describe any drink served in a martini glass. I'll talk to Steve and get him to comment.
