There's no Beatles on this, it's all Paul McCartney. He came into the studio early, and overdubbed himself playing everything. He gave this to Badfinger, and told them to play it exactly like this and they would have a hit. They did, and they did.

This is the BBCs Radio2s SoundsOfThe60s Beatles A-Z song for week startg SAT7AUG10 History of the song can be heard for 1week after Aug7 Written by Paul & a hit in USA & Britain in1970 BUT for Badfinger who Paul signed to Apple & directed them how to do it. Also used in movie that featured Ringo; 'Magic Christian'.Demo version eventually released in 1996 on Anth.3. Paul sings plays drums piano maracas & base Guitar.Recorded during sessions for 'Abbey Rd' on same day as Sun King & Mean Mr Mustard

One of my fav. Beatles songs. Even when I first heard this song from Badfinger (before I knew the Beatles wrote it), I could pick out the Beatles-esk mood from the song...LOVE IT
