yes you should. I mean, you COULD use your trimmer as an edger, but it would look really unprofesional. An edge removes overgrown grass thats moved on sidewalks or garden beds or driveways, and makes a nice clean cut. A trimmer trims the grass around the edge where its hard to get a push or reel mower in like around trees.
@xpstou Yes. The edger is mostly for drive or walkways where you need a clean edge. The weed eater or string trimmer is for reaching areas your mower can't reach, like around poles or up against your house.

Yea. You can use a weedeater/weedwacker as an edger. IF you knew how to control it properly.
