Nothing here is bad... This tune was recorded in 86 by a young group of artists not yet beaten by time, age, and the abuse of a now dieing recording industry. Acually to my sober ear this sounds awesome... Its the crowd in the background that is obviously intoxicated by the elements - and are likely clutching at straws like those of you who insult without gratitude for the person who posted this.. I saw this tour in 87 and then in 1990.. Fish was not with them in 90 - but in rehab..

I'm sorry too, but I think you're wrong. I think H manages to leave the songs feel completely intact, and still make it his own. I also think this is a great comlpliment for Fish since H rarely agrees on playing Fish-era songs. The fact he starts it on his own means he wants to sing it.
Futhermore, Fish nowadays can only sing this song when it's transposed 3 halves down. And, for me Fish has lost all his magic years ago, where Marillion still make great music, and continue to grow...

This literally brought tears to my eyes. How wonderful of them to please the audience and bring out such a classic piece. And, H sings this wonderfully, one of those songs that works in the H era of Marillion. I just loved this, this song has always been so special to me personally. Just great...
was at the forum saturday night, and this was played as a request, crowd sang the first half of the song before H joined in, fantastic what a night. ALMARILLION
in budapest on the 25th of may they played the whole song, with the electric guitar and everything, they were prepared for it. it's a good thing they play more often songs from the F-era.
Yeap, indeed H never sings Fish Marillion songs, perhaps 'cause he was asked to. Weird anyway. H showed he is a brave singer, performing this Flag song of Fish, I am grateful to Hogarth and Fish for having given to me some precious musical moments. Both are great.
It's Fish's song, but on balance, its not half bad -still a great song to lift the crowd
