This movie was awful. I don't know about the portrayal of the war, but I don't need to see something so long winded to get the same effect: that war is hell. I could watch Apocalypse Now, or Full Metal Jacket. They were more entertaining, the messages didn't take 3 hours to reveal, and the metaphors were a hell of a lot better.

great movie if you get the chance to see. There are some great orators and this guy is one of the best, without even trying. He talks about Marinara, he's no chef, but you'd think that he was.
