  • Is that rubber piece covering the charging handle removable? Did it come with the rifle?

  • @EquipaPatriot

The red rubber piece does come with the rifle. You can cut it off, but it provides good support for your charging finger. For a while there i used some electrical tape on it to black it out, yet still have the comfort. If you use gloves for shooting then the bare metal wouldn't be a problem.

  • What fore-end furniture/rails have you found that work on it? I just bought the same rifle.

  • @AKlover

I use just regular ak 47 furniture. Tapco adjustable stock tactical foregrip.

  • is it an accurate rifle?

  • @sabbath465

very, just gotta get use to it.

  • @sabbath465 I have one and I have some video's and I have the Iron sight hitting right on and can do half inch grouping to hundred yards open sight, and the Red dot I have works good until it shoots off. I need an Eco Tech, but they cost as much as the gun so thats on the list of will get some day. 25-100 yards if I take my time and aim it will hit everytime. AK's if taken care of are Really accurate despite the Dogma told that they are not. Plus it depends on what kind of Ammo you are using.

  • @databasemaster3 I have plenty of ak's, they are just as accurate as the shooter

I was just curious of this particular rifle, I passed on it because of the non chrome lined bore but I am starting to regret that now since the commercialization of 545

  • @sabbath465I'm glad I got one,but the Commercialization of the round makes it that you will not have the ability to get them as cheap anymore and everyone is selling those for more money now.Still better then the .223 round for penetration and power and suchjust the.223 out of a ar is mad accurate. The AK is still accurate though, just not quite as perfect, but I personally love the AK and my Slavic Roots will forever love the style of the AK despite the eternal Hostility by theRussians2usPoles.

  • @databasemaster3 that is true, but it also means there isn't a need for a chrome lined bore unless you prefer it, and as long as you keep the surplus out of its diet you will be fine, I personally prefer chromed lined bores, don't know what it is but I just love em :p, I'll probably just pick up a krink sometime soon you only live once right? ;p

btw I am not fond of AR's period

  • @sabbath465yeah but Chrome lining may last longer even with corrosive, but they don't hit as accurate as a new metal bore rifle. Snipers use regular lined for some shots then get rid of the rifle for another.I didn't own any chrome lined barrels yet, but clean it everytime you use it and they work dandy and still hit accurate every time.I shot some AR's of my buddy'sand I liked the one he had,but Personally I prefer AK/Galil also despite they aren't as accurate because they are accurate enough.

  • @databasemaster3 chrome lining will last longer with corrosive, I've saw problems with rust even after proper cleaning to rifles with non chromed bores after firing corrosive so I decided to stay away from non chromed bores if I intend on firing corrosive ammo

  • @sabbath465 Did you ever try cleaning the Rifle Bore with Soap & Water and the after the barrel is completely dry putting a thin layer of Rifle oil on it with a oil patch ? Complete basics have helped me. If I just cleaned them with just Hoppes 9"other cleaning kit gear" and regular rifle cleaners the salt from the primers wasn't washed away and still rusted again"before I knew the whole salt primer thing". Soap + Water + Oil = guns best friends for keeping clean and ready to go.No more probs

  • @databasemaster3 I used hoppes 9 and windex, quite a few people told me that would work but it didn't

I'll keep what you said in mind if I ever pick up a non chromed ak variant

  • @sabbath465 People in the ww1-ww2-koren-vietnam-present in Middle east don't have all those variants like hoppes 9 and windex at there disposal, common soldier often would only take a Piss in the barrel and clean the gun with a shoe string and it would work.Soap and water was the common agents easily accessible to the common soldier for weapons with corrosive primers for many years. Easy way to clean, and gun oil to relube the rifle immediately afterwords.Simple answer to salt Complex thoughts.
