@JRODD666 Dont know if loud pipes actually save lives or not, but I agree that he IS a dork, To me, this Max sounds SWEET! and my only concern might be the bit of loss of top end the owner mentioned lol
the carbs were jetted to damn near stock with stock springs, needles, PAJ1s, and PAJ2's just the Mixture screws Adjusted.
To gut supper trapps pull the long screws out of the front of the pipes (i believe there are 8 of them) then pull the 2 bolts out of the bottom (8mm) and pull on the front end caps.
Thank's for the write back. A few more questions though. How exactly did you gut them? Also has the carbs been jetted or just adjusted? I really like the sound and am considering this. Thank's for the info. Later.
I havent put the bike on a dyno with both trapps and gutted trapps so i wouldnt know exact numbers. But the bike still SCREAMS and i cant really notice a difference until around 9600k the bike doesnt seem to have as much grunt when gutted.
Did you lose any bottom end or have any lean issues running it without the Trapps installed? Sounds awesome either way. I'm a big fan of Super Trapps. They are a fairly inexpensive way to get a quality sound, shed about 40lbs and even make a few horses. That's awesome compared to a Cobra slip on where I have seen people actually lose hp.
haha they look like bad guys from karate kid
