  • miracle my ass i saw my sisters goat give birth its freakin alien like...but baby goats are cute as fuck we had my sisters goat died after giving birth so we had to raise the baby and it lived in the house for 3 months cus it was to cold outside

  • yeah right! we know you're the daddy of that goat baby!

  • At 2:48 She's having contractions!

  • At 2:48 Why is she doing that?

  • you crack me up :P

    cute goaties

    xxx

  • I'm want curry now for some reason...

  • HAHAHAHAHA @ Dodroble

  • i raise goats... but ive never actually watched or had to help with birthing!

  • i raise goats... but ive never actually watched or had to help with birthing!

  • Adorable!!! Thank you for posting :-)

  • It should've been named Ewe-Tube. Duh.

  • That was ADORABLE! One of the best made and wholesome videos on YouTube. Awesome!

  • i like goats!

  • The sister's name is Google... :)

  • Makes me think of home! I grew up on a farm and we had cows, horses, lama's, emu's, cats, dogs and of course goats! I loved baby goats (kids) they are so much fun to watch play in the pasture, jumping around butting heads.

Needless to say I've seen just about every critter born except the emu's and chickens, of course they hatch! :-)

    Cool Video!

  • that was weird when it exploded. i like the name Youtube ((:

    what was her/his sister's name?

  • I'm waiting for my Nubian goat Gypsy to have babies. You were very lucky to be able to be there. I'm afraid Gypsy will birth while I'm at work.

  • Yeah, when you only have a few goats, that can be a risk. My inlaws run an entire goat farm, so they breed their goats all to kid at about the same time. THey're pretty accurate as far as timing goes: my father in law took exactly the right days off this year.

If your goat is close to it's due date, it might be wise to keep her in a pen while at work, with a heat lamp on in one corner, so if the baby is born, it won't be stuck freezing in the cold for 8 hours.

  • @somecallmejim can u make a decent living with dairy goats

  • soo if a baby goat is stolen it's still kidnapped or goatnapped?

  • haha! Nice :-) But since humans are "kidnapped", with goats wouldn't it be "peoplenapped"?

  • @Dodroble goatnapped lool

  • Sick!

  • YOU DONT NAME A GOAT AFTER A WEBSITE

  • When you have over 100 goats, most of them born around the same time, you name them after just about anything. They have one goat named "Superduty" (like the truck), and a whole series of goats names after bodies of water. Really, try coming up with 100 names at one time that are all awesome. It's not as easy as it sounds.

Thanks for watching though, despite the cyber-shouting. :-)

  • so sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeettttttttttttt two of the babies.

  • they are so cute!

  • Ooooohhh, so cute, but what did you name the second goat .....Facebook! Lol! Just "kidding" ( no pun intended ) with you. Anyway, they are adorable, and Dad, you look very "fatherly" holding your new "kid". Much luck with your livestock, I know it isn't ez to care for them, kudo's to you.

  • My late grandmom have 50 goat..

  • I may be a city gal and all, but I can't help but to wonder when it was that animals started requiring the help of humans to do something as natural as giving birth? They were cute little kids though.

  • Eh, most of the time, we don't need to do anything with the goats. This was a special condition due to the position of the kids pre-birth. Left to their own devices, the mom and these goat kids would have very likely died.

Ultimately, getting involved is a last resort, but sometimes it's required to make sure animals don't die.

  • Well, I guess in that case it was a good thing. Thanks, as I say, I'm a city gal. I used to wish I could be around more animals. I think they're cute, but I don't know much about them. I'd like to have a pygmy goat one day. But I have to learn more about them first. Have a great day/night.

  • the funny thing is they're probably all dead and have been turned into meat at this point. animals are not objects. goat farm my ass.

  • you did a great job with this video! you're very chill, keep up the good work!

  • Are you from CAnada... with the eh i mean im from there and i use that word all the time.. and also im proud of you ..you made an EXCELLENT birthing couch..

  • LOL! Not Canada, but Minnesota. We're cloe enough to smell the Maple syrup, eh.

  • I honestly don't understand why this man gets so involved, it is not neccesary at all !!! goats are perfectly able to give birth without human intervenience, it only brings her more stress and pain, I understand it is very exciting to watch your goat giving birth so up close but it would be best to leave her to it, and watch from a distance,

  • With all due respect, their family has been raising goats for ages. They sorta know what they're doing. This video has actually been used by several organizations that specialize in livestock and goats (4H, MN Goat Producers, etc) to demonstrate the best way to get involved when it's needed. You're right, in many cases, a goat can deliver on it's own, and all will be well. What you don't see in this video is that this was not the case for this birth. The first goat was (continued)...

  • (cont...) actually turned and obstructed the delivery, putting the mother at risk. If we had "just left this goat alone" the mother and both kids would have died. Now, maybe in nature the odd death like that is acceptable, but a goat farm makes money by selling LIVE goats, so the only option was to intervene. This is also why this is my only goat birthing vid. It's the only time we've ever had to go help out.

So, thanks for your input (I'll even thumbs-up ya), but in this case, you're wrong.

  • Beugh... That was so gross. But once they were clean they were really cute. My chinese zodiac thingy is the goat lol

  • great name for a goat :)

  • its kinda wierd having a goat arm coming out of a vagina

  • Aw, shucks, you're too kind....oh wait, you were talking about the goats.

    :-D

    Thanks for watching!

  • nice saunens. wheres the dairy located?

  • In the udders :-D No, but seriously, you never see it on camera (I don't think-it's been a while since I watched this vid!) but the milking parlor is in the same barn, directly opposite the stall where YouTube and Google were born.

My inlaws mostly deal with boer goats though, as there's been a huge influx of Somalians up here in the last few years. If you've ever heard of "Tarzan", they have several of his offspring. Personally I like the dairy goats myself. Friendlier and better smelling! :-)

  • XD nice, im not a fan of boers. i have heard of tarzan, hes a nice buck. and i love my diary girls ;)

  • You know, I couldn't say for sure, as they were sold to another farm, but when they were sold, they were about the healthiest goats you could know.

    Thanks for watching!

  • Time for an update on these 2, JIM!!!!

  • LOL! You're right, I should do a more recent update. It will be a little hard to show YouTube the Goat to anyone though, since they sold him to another farm. But maybe I can track him down...

  • Omg, they're so adorable!

  • i just showed my 6 year old newphew why ex is bad

  • The lambs was so cute....

  • ughhhhhhh>>>>lol

  • That is a great video. We are lambing at the mo but will start breeding pygmy goats this year. Oh and too people that worry about pulling out the kid, its perfectly safe and normal to help them along once the kid is in the birth canal, especially when it was her first time. as long as you have front feet and head its fine.

  • xD My health teacher told us to watch this xDD But the goat was so cute!

  • Oh my goodness, they are so cute! :)

  • Jim's commentary is hilarious!

  • why did i see this?? :D

  • So sweet :)*

  • haha she looks very "relaxed" durin' her "pain" !!!

  • gross in the middle when "things start happening" but CUTE AT THE END!!!

  • hmm why did you innterupt the gooath whille she gave birth?? thats stressing the animale,,,next time leave the mother alone and just watch how she can manage herself, and cleaning her baby,,,she need to eat the stuff off her kid,its stimulating the milk that kid is supposed to drink........you people make me angry.

  • no not really.

usually, animals really appreciate human help.when they give birth, they THEN shoo them away cuz they dun want the humans to literally "take the baby away".

  • A goat is a domesticated animal meaning they need humans to survive. This doe was not stressed in the least by them, she oviously trusted them. I have a goat that would kid in my lap each year if I let her, instead I opt for letting her lick my arm.
