not all georgia choose russia only the eastern part(qartl-kaxeti) did it. first russia just came as an allie and when we were going to fight they have not come our armie was destoyed than they offered the treaty of georgievsk and than they annexed qartl-kaxeti( eastern georgia) from there they began to colonize whole georgia. we choosed russia cause we thought we would have our church but no they have taken down our churche and put us in russian church. sorry for bad english :S

West made conflicts between Russians and Circassians. As result of conflicts, many Russians and Circassians died. It's wrong to say, that only Circassians or only Russians suffered. Same, like Turkish-Armenian, Serbian-Albanian conflicts, which are presented now as "Armenian genocide", "Albanian genocide".

Now you are talking about the invasion of circassia and it was some time ago. Before the WWI. After the WWI however englishmen supported a crazy turkish general who tried to "unite" turkic people in the caucasus and central asia while french supported armenians.

You are right about one thing, there was no real brotherhood between caucasian people and russians but the hate against each other is not due to old conflicts but because of provocations fueled by westerns. Just like in Yugoslavia.

Adyge Circassians doesn't belong to Indo-Europeans nor Turkish groups, they belong to Caucasian ( Kavkaz ) group, they originaly came from the areas of north and north west of the Caucasus.

All the world knows them as Circassian or Cherkess, but we call ourselv's Adyge too.
