Yeah pay $476 for a 30 fucking supply of Kepra. We need a safety net for Americans.I can understand that it will add more to our deficit, but the medical industry is out of control. How would like to pay for $400 ambulance ride and they got the fucking nerve to charge per mile and gas!If you want to know were your tax dollars are going hop a plane to China and every other country trying to kill us.
Oh, Why would you dream of calling your communistic police or fire department for help? Would you prefer calling a private security firm? You probably don't remember anything about the MacCarthey ERA. You also have seen wallstreet swing way to the left when they had taken our tax dollars 700 BILLION for capitalistic purposes. You are being bully whacked by the right. You are probably one medical crisis away from bankruptcy. Living with your head in the sand is not healthy.
People like this make me sick. They go to public schools, public libraries, benefit from all the other things that come from living in a civilized society, but then when their government asks something of them they say no.
I'm an American. But I view most Americans as fat and lazy drug addicts. We sure love our tobacco, alcohol, and pills! Oh yes, pills! Has anyone ever stoped and wondered if we are just making ourself sick with all this crap.
Honestly, in the REAL world people suffer and need medical care aside from all garbage political talk you dish out.. I assume you'd rather watch someone suffer from a condition that could be treated because you think it is theft from your pocket. Honestly, I think as a human being we need to pull our head out of our pocketbooks and start to realize it's better to help people. Free enterprise doesn't belong in the SICK business because that is SICK to profit off SICK people.

Truthfully, when it comes down to the fundamentals, if my choice is to live as a slave or to have those who would enslave me die, I would pick the latter. Thankfully, there is a much better solution than either of those.
"But arent americans already slaves under the dollar?"
I'm not aware of any dollar bills that can issue me orders. As far as the state forcing one specific currency on us, I guess in a way that is a minor form of slavery and one I'd be happy to abolish.
I can't agree with you more. This guy needs to study economics...but I guess that won't guarantee he'll understand it because it's all common sense. I think that a realistic solution to cutting costs in health care would be to open more minute clinics where you can pay 50 bucks to get treated for basic problems and only rely on insurance if you have serious medical conditions.
Riiiiiiiiight! The point you're missing carrot boy is the fact that everyone wants the highest quality, but doesn't want to pay for it. So, if roads are built privately, who is going to "steal" the money to build them?
"why do you have a police force surely it would be better to leave people to defend themselves without this stealing from the citizens .
you sound like some sort of damn socialist ".

I disagree that government run healthcare is worse than insurance companys , clearly if your in business to make money you wont try to cover the people who will cost you more money ,,,,the sick
Xomniverse, you pose some very interesting and intelligent questions. People are afraid of universal health care because they simply won't educate themselves about it. We spend twice as much on health care as any other country in the world, yet we fail to provide health care for all and they do. After spending all that money, our ranking in health care is an abysmal 37th. We're the only country in the free world that doesn't provide health care to all. Read about HR 676, the Conyers bill.
2 shithead morons in a pod. What makes you 2 such fucking experts - because you listen to Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh's lies? You're both misleading sheeple retards that have no fucking clue what they are talking about. Both of you should go get a life and stop trying to keep our country from moving forward.
The problem with anarchism is its unsustainable. You get gangs, then the gangs become the state and then you don't have anarchism anymore.
This is where minarchism comes in. Minarchists believe in absolute minimum federal government to ensure the liberty of its citizens, without necessarily direct taxation.
A charity based federal government would likely work well. People would donate for the same reason they donate to electron campaigns. It's in their best interest.
Back in the 18th century once a month people would get together and fix the roads! Would you rather pay taxes and not have to do that work or would you rather get off your fat ass and help out the community? Or pay a third party more than the government would charge you for the same work? Economics, Ain't it a motherfucker?
Typically, a state solution costs a lot more than a free market one, since the state does not have any market pressure to be efficient or competitive.
Economics, Ain't it a motherfucker? Maybe you should learn it sometime :P
Great idea: If UHC passes. Make it mandatory, to get healthcare, you need to pass a urine test. No illegal drugs permitted, no legal drugs for which you have no prescription and no steroids. Anyone getting healthcare and not passing the drug test will have to pay for 100% of the care from their own pocket.
We will never have UHC. Harry Truman campaigned on it in 1948, and even though LBJ had a rubber stamp congress and could have made it happen (If it were viable), no one has. Michael Moore puts out a one sided movie every 4 years to influence political debate. All the Dem's are scurrying to placate him. That shows you what puppets they are.

the rising cost of healthcare since Reagan is on the main problems in economy. We are bankrupting ourselves to make trillions of dollars for Insurance & drug companies. Don't you think we are smart enough to make a better system? or is goverment too corrupt?
It is too corrupt. Also, 1/3 of American tax payers are retiring in the next 20 years (baby Boomers...90 mil out of 301 mil total). We won't have enough money to pay for the entitlements we already have...let alone any new ones.
I wish there was, but look at the census figures, and you will find that there will not be nearly as many entering the workforce. That is the problem, and I am one of those who will be retiring, so the problem is more yours than mine.

I do not have to see Moore's propaganda, or make him any money to know the other side. I have heard plenty of BS alreay. They say 50 million people are poor and without healthcare. 10 mil are illegal. 17 mil make more than $50K per year and 14 mil are eligible for Government assistance but do not register. So maybe 9 mil of the 50 claimed are actually poor and without. The lie is perpetuated to elude to a crisis, which must be solved now.
It's not propanganda, its facts. Maybe if you do some research you might find that you are incorrect. I beg people like you to educate/inform yourself about the issue before making false statements. Good luck.

Of those, 17 mil make more than $50k per year (Not poor). 14 mil are eligible for Government assistance but do not sign up (Not without). 10 mil are illegal (They broke the law to get here...so they are not "Americans"). So in actuality, 9 million Americans are poor and without.
So if it is not "propaganda", then is it "Hog wash"? "Falsehood"? "Lies"?
Stop me when you find a term you are comfortable with.
Yeah you pulled that straight out of your dumb ass also.
It REALLY fucking scares me that CLUELESS MOTHERFUCKERS in this country have just as much a say so over what direction this country goes in as INTELLIGENT PEOPLE.
Yes, we all are disappointed that you have as much say as the intellignet people. But that is what we fight for, those of us who went to war, for your right to be ignorant.
You can change that. Study, learn, and rise above your ignorance. You can do it.
Everyone uses roads, it doesn't matter if it's a dirt road or an Interstate. I'm in the military and I can assure you that the government goes with the lowest bidder. Now, as far as public transportation, that's acceptable in my opinion, but there's a big difference between an on-ramp and a quadruple bypass. I guess what I'm saying is, You get what you pay for. I can handle the federal government being in charge of shitty roads, it's not neural surgery...
I think that healthcare should remain privatized. I think the main reason that military is left under the purview of the government is because of the possibility of coupe. I still don't believe that having NO government is preferably to having a weaker government because allowing people to govern themselves means putting a lot of faith in a lot of stupid people.
What gets me is the fact that the United States of America is supposed to be a Democracy. I guess the idiots vote for the idiots, either that or the electoral college is paid to vote in favor of a candidate that didn't get the people's vote. Is a change needed? Yes. Is Anarchy the answer? I'm not the one to push that envelope.
Well, technically the U.S. isn't a democracy. It's a constitutional republic. However I think if we were in fact a Democracy then we might be able to get something done instead of always pussy footing around. Oh, and fuck universal health care.
I hate this argument. If there are elections it's a democracy. It might not be a DIRECT democracy, but it is a representative one. And it suffers all of the problems of democracy for this very reason.
not so...The actual definition of a Democracy is the voting for government decisions, and the majority always wins. However in America, if you look it is often times the majority who do not win. If it were the case then the minorities (Minorities being small groups, not necessarily race)would not have any say in half of the decisions we've made...
1 a : government by the people; especially : rule of the majority b : a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections
This is a fact you do not know.. The Interstate road system was created partly to allow the military to transport tanks, and other weapons in the USA in case the USA was invaded. Also the Interstates allow transport truck to delivery all over the USA. Every one benefits and means a Large GDP.
You can not make a PROFIT with roads so if the government was not involved then there would be no road for you to use.
I did know this. Dwight D. Eisenhower initiated the project. However, you can indeed make a profit on roads. Despite what statists want to believe this HAS BEEN DONE repeatedly in the past. The Oregon Trail is a good example, and the Northwest railroad system. Systems of toll roads made IMMENSE profits and were highly regarded.
Those are existing roads... I am talking about building new roads... Tolls roads are only profitable where you have large amount of usage. Do you plan to make every street in your town a toll road.
It is now. Do you not know what the fuel taxes are intended for? If it stopped at that, it MIGHT even be a just tax, because you'd be directly paying for a service you use. But it don't stop there.
Ah, road naysayers. The only thing that has to be demonstrated is that there is a demand. Considering the status of modern society, I think the burden of proof is on the naysayers to demonstrate how there would NOT be enough demand and then to pose a logical argument for stealing to pay for a service they just claimed there is no demand for. Tall order, indeed. Nearly everyone in a community demands a road, and most communities demand interlinking highways. The market does the rest.
Your absolutley right.... my point wasn't that the state should have the ability to steal... I was just illustrating how the federal government needs to stay the fuck out of the states business... sorta came out wrong I guess... and the roads comment was just me trying to illustrate how little control that the federal government should have.... as far as the military is concerned, I believe that it should be run by the federal government...
I think it's more likely that you would be able to buy passes to avoid the inconvenience of tolls.
But the fact that you are so disgusted that someone should have to earn a value rather than get it for free at someone else's expense speaks worlds of your character.
I think universal health care is a totalizing ideology. All the guilds that they create, the regulations and takeovers, basically amount to "join us or else." It is a very evil ideology, regardless of its health merits or demerits.
Well said. I've given a great deal of thought to how a free market would handle road building and usage. I'm firmly convinced that it would be in every way superior to the to the system we have now. Cheaper, safer, faster, less congested. I would encourage others to give it some thought next time they're standing in line at the post office. Good vid, Man.
No. You are very openly a communist, and I do not associate knowingly with parasites. Particularly those who dare to call me unethical for REFUSING to be violent.
Where do I start??? Thanks for suggesting a good video. Short form: Parsites should not be condoned and given legitimacy. A system that PUNISHES the productive and REWARDS sloth leads to ruin. Every time. "From each according to his ability, TO each according to his need".
The capitalist version would drop the last part. If you need it, you can fucking work for it. Not demand it of those who do better than you. You need food, water, air, and to a lesser extent, shelter. If you can't provide even THAT for yourself, then you probably aren't alive to begin with.
Yeah, infants aren't really living things, that's why it's ok to "kill" them. They can't even feed themselves and they don't even try to defend themselves when you hurt them.
... there's too much. I'll make a video. It'll be posted within the hour. But the "infant" argument is completely a red herring. Philosophical political theory and action applies to adults, and provides for (or fails to) children an infants. The communist creed is not aimed at children, though you have used Hitler's strategy in a crude way in this.
"The state must declare the child to be the most precious treasure of the people. As long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of the children, the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation."
Mein Kampf; the Ralph Manheim translation published by Houghton-Mifflin, 1943. pg 403.
<sarcasm> aren't they though? It's still a disingenuous strategy, and a non sequitur in the point being debated, useful or not </sarcasm>. The video is up. The link is below.
You are ignoring or misinterpreting the "from each according to his ability". You seem to think it means "from each according to his desire" or something like that.
It's quite obvious the person in the video has little if any understanding of constitutional law
He's reasoning in his own mind, but doesn't understand the importance or deep thought put into the constitution; its much like a child playing with a loaded gun

1st point you make: The federal gov. has no constitutional authority to mandate UHC. Also more local gov makes it easier for people to keep check on.
2nd point: State gov. has the authority to tax people for the creation of roads.
3rd point: the federal government has constitutional authority to fund a military.
4th point: You do not understand the purpose of gov. it is to protect rights, thats it. Anarchy does not protect rights and neither do socialist govs.

I can handle the federal government being in charge of shitty roads, it's not neural surgery...
sloandown 4 years ago
Whether you can handle it is not the issue. It's morally wrong to steal from people to fund it.
Everyone eats food too. Should the govt control and own grocery stores?
XOmniverse 4 years ago
I think that healthcare should remain privatized. I think the main reason that military is left under the purview of the government is because of the possibility of coupe. I still don't believe that having NO government is preferably to having a weaker government because allowing people to govern themselves means putting a lot of faith in a lot of stupid people.
superangrymonkey 4 years ago
If people are stupid, better that they govern themselves than having stupid people governing large groups.

What gets me is the fact that the United States of America is supposed to be a Democracy. I guess the idiots vote for the idiots, either that or the electoral college is paid to vote in favor of a candidate that didn't get the people's vote. Is a change needed? Yes. Is Anarchy the answer? I'm not the one to push that envelope.
sloandown 4 years ago
Well, technically the U.S. isn't a democracy. It's a constitutional republic. However I think if we were in fact a Democracy then we might be able to get something done instead of always pussy footing around. Oh, and fuck universal health care.
Iciceberg 4 years ago
I hate this argument. If there are elections it's a democracy. It might not be a DIRECT democracy, but it is a representative one. And it suffers all of the problems of democracy for this very reason.
XOmniverse 4 years ago
not so...The actual definition of a Democracy is the voting for government decisions, and the majority always wins. However in America, if you look it is often times the majority who do not win. If it were the case then the minorities (Minorities being small groups, not necessarily race)would not have any say in half of the decisions we've made...

According to Webster's...

You can not make a PROFIT with roads so if the government was not involved then there would be no road for you to use.
pvukosavljev 4 years ago
I did know this. Dwight D. Eisenhower initiated the project. However, you can indeed make a profit on roads. Despite what statists want to believe this HAS BEEN DONE repeatedly in the past. The Oregon Trail is a good example, and the Northwest railroad system. Systems of toll roads made IMMENSE profits and were highly regarded.
Kbiomech 4 years ago
Those are existing roads... I am talking about building new roads... Tolls roads are only profitable where you have large amount of usage. Do you plan to make every street in your town a toll road.
pvukosavljev 4 years ago
It is now. Do you not know what the fuel taxes are intended for? If it stopped at that, it MIGHT even be a just tax, because you'd be directly paying for a service you use. But it don't stop there.
Kbiomech 4 years ago
Ah, road naysayers. The only thing that has to be demonstrated is that there is a demand. Considering the status of modern society, I think the burden of proof is on the naysayers to demonstrate how there would NOT be enough demand and then to pose a logical argument for stealing to pay for a service they just claimed there is no demand for. Tall order, indeed. Nearly everyone in a community demands a road, and most communities demand interlinking highways. The market does the rest.
LibertyIsNotGiven 4 years ago
Your absolutley right.... my point wasn't that the state should have the ability to steal... I was just illustrating how the federal government needs to stay the fuck out of the states business... sorta came out wrong I guess... and the roads comment was just me trying to illustrate how little control that the federal government should have.... as far as the military is concerned, I believe that it should be run by the federal government...
sayfuckalot 4 years ago
yeah less congested because half the people cant afford the toll on each road you go over.
hetche7 4 years ago
I think it's more likely that you would be able to buy passes to avoid the inconvenience of tolls.
But the fact that you are so disgusted that someone should have to earn a value rather than get it for free at someone else's expense speaks worlds of your character.

I think universal health care is a totalizing ideology. All the guilds that they create, the regulations and takeovers, basically amount to "join us or else." It is a very evil ideology, regardless of its health merits or demerits.
Franc28 4 years ago

Kbiomech 4 years ago
I like communism. What's wrong with it?
juliecranford 4 years ago
Where do I start??? Thanks for suggesting a good video. Short form: Parsites should not be condoned and given legitimacy. A system that PUNISHES the productive and REWARDS sloth leads to ruin. Every time. "From each according to his ability, TO each according to his need".
Kbiomech 4 years ago
"from each according to his ability, to each according to his need" doesn't say anything about punishing productivity and rewarding laziness.
juliecranford 4 years ago
Really? Think deeper. the MOST productive will reap the LEAST reward.
Kbiomech 4 years ago
"to each according to his need" dot dot dot question mark question mark question mark
juliecranford 4 years ago
The capitalist version would drop the last part. If you need it, you can fucking work for it. Not demand it of those who do better than you. You need food, water, air, and to a lesser extent, shelter. If you can't provide even THAT for yourself, then you probably aren't alive to begin with.
Kbiomech 4 years ago
Yeah, infants aren't really living things, that's why it's ok to "kill" them. They can't even feed themselves and they don't even try to defend themselves when you hurt them.
juliecranford 4 years ago
... there's too much. I'll make a video. It'll be posted within the hour. But the "infant" argument is completely a red herring. Philosophical political theory and action applies to adults, and provides for (or fails to) children an infants. The communist creed is not aimed at children, though you have used Hitler's strategy in a crude way in this.
Kbiomech 4 years ago
Hitler's strategy? He had only one? What is it?
juliecranford 4 years ago
"The state must declare the child to be the most precious treasure of the people. As long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of the children, the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation."
Mein Kampf; the Ralph Manheim translation published by Houghton-Mifflin, 1943. pg 403.
Kbiomech 4 years ago
Oh, yeah, that's totally the strategy I'm using. Children are useful devices.
juliecranford 4 years ago
<sarcasm> aren't they though? It's still a disingenuous strategy, and a non sequitur in the point being debated, useful or not </sarcasm>. The video is up. The link is below.
Kbiomech 4 years ago
You are ignoring or misinterpreting the "from each according to his ability". You seem to think it means "from each according to his desire" or something like that.
