For those with a pussy like demeanor...it might be disgusting. Steer clear then of a TRUE disgusting movie like "Slow Torture Puke Chamber" or ReGOREgitated Sacrifice" then. You obviously could not handle those if this arthouse film was too much for you.

Nor will you. It was banned in 2002 and never went to DVD. I watched it at the cinema in 2002 and half way through the movie they pulled the plug. The audience was spewing! The trouble is it cant be an R movie because of the explicit sex, and it cant be NVE because of the violence, so it dosent fit into any category.

@stegatops, "they pulled the plug, the audience was spewing", were the sex scenes too explicit or just that horrific and violent? I ask because sometimes it seems no matter what the outcome, some people will still take their chances, but some of these violent rape scenes have the tendency to 'linger in our minds' longer than one might think. Thanks for your input.

Officially, the film was not so much banned, as "refused classification", and every film must be classified for it to be screened. It couldnt be "R" because of the explicit sex and it couldnt be NVE (non violent erotica) because of the violence, putting it in the twilight zone. At my screening it was stopped about half way through the film, just after the scene where they get pulled over for a breath test and end up shooting both the police officers dead. The guy came in to apologise but said

People were muttering things like "muthurfuking nanny-state fascist cnts......etc" I think I should point out that the audience were upset at the film being stopped, not at the content of the film.......these were seasoned art film lovers....they just wanted to see the film.
