@Bizkuitss No rather the expression of Roger Water's disgust at society (currently) as it consists of three main sections of the machine. Pigs-Our leaders who confuse and confuse those they control, Dogs-answer only to the pigs and through violence control the population, Sheep- Blind masses who bay mindlessly the propoganda they are force fed. Though each song takes a twist on the species which allows the truth to be seen for example the dog, here, feels doubt in his betrayle of others.

So lovely. And yes I definitely agree, it is an underrated album. The Wall is fantastic without a doubt, as with Dark Side of the Moon. Theres not really an album of Pink Floyd I can say I dont like. But yes, Animals is such a great, fantastic, talent-filled album. Gets you thinking, lots of music nowadays doesnt do this.

Animals was the first Floyd album I heard, and sadly that was only 2 years ago (Im 19), but its so unbelievably underrated. I would probably rank it alongside The Wall and Dark Side... but hey, I've only had a couple years of experience

Just a heads up for this whole "This band made music high on drugs", they didn't make that much music while high. Only Syd and maybe Wright experimented extensively with pot and acid. Waters and Gilmour did not to my knowledge do drugs regularly.
