i did have an atheistic experience from March to about now and I'm re-gaining my faith because I decided that an atheistic worldview takes more faith than a religious worldview.

It's amazing what anaesthetic drugs and a father (a pastor) who likes to embellish the truth a bit too much can create. Honestly, go take some drugs and I'm sure some of you will experience much the same. This is one young person's story about his experience. To the nay sayers, each person's journey is their own, and should be respected for just that. No one can comment with authority on another person's experience unless you have the identical one. I simply enjoy this as his story of what happened. What if the kids parents are using him as a false prophet? I am a Catholic, but I think that the boy's parants are just using him to get people's attention. As far as we know, they could have told him these things and have him tell the world that God told him instead.
I can't say I really find this believable...I mean first of all being catholic I don't believe that in heaven we become angels as is suggested through Colton's account of everyone having wings, so really have to say it's fairly false but if it truly is the will of God then it's wonderful, if not...shame on the pastor for exploiting his son
If it was a marketing scam for a book im glad it had me looking at my own life instead of trying to debunk this kids vision it strengthend my faith and i also had my own revelation i would tell you about it but your just going to try and debunk it so ill just tell you to start believing and get your own! then you will see you just think everything is explainable through the laws of man and that there is nothing higher then us out there i cant wait for the day laws of man no longer are exist!

When Jesus talked to Elijah and Moses in front of the diciples they were not asleep. When the rich man died according to Jesus he woke up right there and then in Hell...the poor man was comforted by Abraham in Heaven right then and there...but this is neither here nor there and not to become a distraction from trying to win souls to our LORD..so they will go with us to be in Heaven..if a person wants to believe they sleep till Christ wakes them up..no harm,but to be contentious is.SHALOM!

Blown away by this book, There are many things in this world that we don't believe ,but his book has changed me ,my way of thinking of God, Jesus. I believe his story because I had an experience similar.Colton, is the real deal.

No matter what, I belive in the LORD JESUS!What is hard about the book though [it is not the BiBle] the son says at one point that he was sitting in the lap of Jesus and Jesus had the angels to sing to him cause he[colton ]was scared. I have been in the presence of the LORD MANY MANY TIMES AND HAD NO FEAR OF NOTHING IN HIS PRESCENCE..so I don't understand how colton was afraid though he was in the lap of JESUS HIMSELF..help me if I am wrong..don't understand that..

It is the goal of Satan to corrupt the true church with pagan practices and beliefs. Jesus did not teach that the dead are judged and sent to either heaven or hell. He taught that they will bankroll resurrected at His second coming. beUntil then they sleep and know nothing. Lazarus wasn‘t brought back from heaven - he was resurrected from his grave, where he “slept” according to Jesus Himself. Sorry if all this surprises you or upsets you, but it is true. But don’t fear, Jesus will fix it soon.
I Suggest you start reading the bible instead. The early church picked up an awful lot of pagan practices from the Roman empire dating all the way back to the Mystery Babylon religion spoke of in the Book of Revelation. Nowhere in the bible does it say we go to heaven or hell when we die - all that came from other non-biblical writings no doubt inspired by Satan onto unsuspecting believers who didn’t know any better, or who had some sort of agenda. This kid is apparently a tool of Satan. He is espousing false doctrine that is not biblical. According to Jesus when we die we sleep - we know nothing and feel nothing. We reside in sheol - the Jewish place of the dead - also referred to as the grave. Jesus said that we will rest in peace until He returns to resurrect the dead and transfigure the living believers. Ask any Jew if they believe in heaven and hell as a place we go when we die and they will say no. They were Greek pagan concepts.

I turned my life over to God after reading these books ... my Grandfather died and he went to hell, the doctor's had already called my great-grandparents and told them he was dead and Jesus took him out of hell, gave him his life back ... Satan would not do anything to help people turn to God!

As with any journey, Faith is a highway discovered by choice. The scenary, experience and transformation of its travelers are unknown to those who invalidate that highway. No reason to bicker, debate, accuse, or try to convince. One needs only to step into the vehicle of Faith, turn the key and drive. Then, I'm certain that one will have their own story to tell, encouraging others to choose that holy highway. It leads to eternal LIFE - the one that really counts, and never ends!
One thing that puzzles me is that when he was in heaven he saw the holy spirit. I understand the holy spirit has been sent to earth to comfort and protect us Christians. Maybe he saw another side of God in which he interpreted it as the holy spirit.
In the book and audio book when his dad ask him about Satan he just froze. I guess Satan and hell was so terrible that words could not express the evil of Satan and hell. Yes heaven is real and hell is too.. we have to make a choice.

I really appreciate you sharing this incredible story and allowing God to touch us through Colton's experience. I too, have left my body without flat lining during serious illness. I studied the bible & found that Elisha left his body to follow his servant as he was deceiving Elisha. The prophet even said that he was watching him in spirit. What validation!

To get into heaven, you have to REPENT of your sins and BELIEVE the gospel of Jesus Christ (ref. Mark 1:15). You have to REPENT of your sins--that means turn from them and BELIEVE that Jesus died for your sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. Having done these things, you will be born again and the Lord Jesus Christ will help you to walk uprightly. You will read the word (the Authorized King James Bible)

Therefor you can decide whether you want to believe God created the universe or whether the "Big Bang" caused the creation of the universe. Personally I choose to believe there is a god and he created the universe rather than the opposing argument, some gases exploding caused such an amazing universe. Study Biology and you will truly believe there is no way we could have been created by 'chance'.

Just because something can't be disproved doesn't automatically enforce it's probability or truth. I may not be able to disprove god, but It's quite easy to establish an argument for the vast improbability of God, whereas you wouldn't be able to make a convincing argument in God's existence with Holy text, and faith.
1) I can disprove the flying spaghetti monster as a spaghetti does not meet the required MRSGREN characteristics to be considered 'living'. As for a teapot orbiting Saturn, if someone were to place a teapot in amongst the outer remnants of Saturn and measure it's orbit for the full 29.7years then it could be proven right? (I'm no space expert so I could be wrong)

the bible said the earth was a circle looooong before we went into space, over 100 prophecies in the Bible have come true about Jesus. In psalms there is a prophecy about Jesus being crucified. that was written over 1000 years before crucifixion was even invented. recently scientists have found horse bones and chariot wheels at the bottom of the red sea. the fact is....there is proof the bible is true, but because of the eternal consequences of unbelief, ppl cant wrap their minds around it.

Perhaps there was a man Named Robin Hood just like there was Jesus, in which the stories carry subtle details that are accurate, and most of which have been embellished over the years to enhance story telling. I suffer badly from sleep paralysis (look it up) and get attacked by a Daemon nearly every night. I know they don't exist, but man, when its ripping me apart they surely do.
The kid was ill, and its amazing what the brain does when you are ill...

I just finished reading this book and my faith is stronger now and my thoughts on Heaven and Jesus are even more real to me. After losing my 4 yr old grandson recently in a car crash I needed to be reassured that he was with Jesus and I could just picture him sitting on Jesus' lap as I read this book that I could hardly put it down until I finsihed it. Shortly after the Dr. told us Shane didn't make it I clearly heard The Lord tell me to be absent from the body is to be present with The Lord!!
i belive in god and the story is amazing i love the book and it is great but this could all be made up by his parents for money if it was my kid or i personaly listend to the story from a boy that i did not belive was tought to say what he saw then i would be truly amazed
@maggiemaybug1982 wrong. Faith that is NOT based on proof. The statue of Liberty is there, you can see it anytime. you can see real life pictures of it, streamed video, from any date of its arrival. To oversimplify faith in a quirky statement tantamount to "Just because you haven't seen the Statue of Liberty doesn't make it not real" shows quite well the great marketing of logic religion has taken hostage.

I saw where someone asked, if God created all who created God? God is the Alpha and Omega. He has always been. It's impossible for the human mind to try to reason it out. As humans we have a tendancy to want to have all the answers. What we need to do is realize that there are some things we are just not capable of understanding. I can't tell you how to understand that God has always been. I can tell you that once you see God work in your life there is no denying Him.

I have not read this book nor do I know much about it. What I do know is that for some reason some non believers feel the need to tear down the beliefs of others. This is surely from the evil one, but take heart for as Jesus says “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

Loved the Book, I belive that the little boy did go to heaven, and I believe that God uses people like this little boy, to try and wake people up, and know that there is a very real Heaven and Hell. @debnic88 - question for you - if God created everything - what created God? Where did he come from? You cannot get something from nothing, so God must have his own God who created him. And that God must have their own God. And so on. Why are you Christian in the first place? Your environment - family, school, education etc. If you were born in a remote part of Sri Lanka, you would most likely be Buddhist for the same reasons. Think about it....

i don't understand why people can believe that the Titanic actually sank, and that other events happened because they were documented but disbelieve the bible totally. The bible is just a documentation of events that happened before any of us were here. Isn't that exactly what the events in the history books are? The only excuse that one can give me is that I can't see God so he doesn't exist. If I could see an almighty all-knowing God wouldn't that mean that he isn't God? I love God always!!

God is real. He is the one who created us and he is the one that sent his son Jesus to save us from our sins. I believe this with all of my heart, soul, body, and mind. Having a four year old visit Heaven to me makes more sense to me because little kids are able to believe easier than an adult. Also the little kids would be more willing to talk about what happened to them, more so than an adult who would feel peer pressure not to talk about it because of fear someone might make fun of them.

Exactly why this is bogus! Kids have a HUGE imagination. My students (6th graders) have created worlds and planets and crazy characters in their writings. It's why people indoctrinate kids when they're young; they will believe anything an grown up throws at them. Why doesn't God show himself to an Atheist scholar? That makes more sense to me. This book is AMAZING!!!!! No question about it.....Having to "prove" that God is real is the exact opposite of everything God stands for, that defeats the purpose of "faith". It's amazing what anaesthetic drugs and a father (a pastor) who likes to embellish the truth a bit too much can create. This is one young person's story about his experience. To the nay sayers, each person's journey is their own, and should be respected for just that. No one can comment with authority on another person's experience unless you have the identical one. I simply enjoy this as his story of what happened. We cannot measure experience in scientific or with empirical facts. This is the nature of life. The conscience is God's Presence within, and its voice is God's authority. Loved this story, thank you.

It is the goal of Satan to corrupt the true church with pagan practices and beliefs. Jesus did not teach that the dead are judged and sent to either heaven or hell. He taught that they will bankroll resurrected at His second coming. beUntil then they sleep and know nothing. Lazarus wasn‘t brought back from heaven - he was resurrected from his grave, where he “slept” according to Jesus Himself. Sorry if all this surprises you or upsets you, but it is true. I Suggest you start reading the bible instead. The early church picked up an awful lot of pagan practices from the Roman empire dating all the way back to the Mystery Babylon religion spoke of in the Book of Revelation. Nowhere in the bible does it say we go to heaven or hell when we die - all that came from other non-biblical writings no doubt inspired by Satan onto unsuspecting believers who didn’t know any better, or who had some sort of agenda. Now almost everyone believes it. Sad but rue.

This kid is apparently a tool of Satan. He is espousing false doctrine that is not biblical. According to Jesus when we die we sleep - we know nothing and feel nothing. We reside in sheol - the Jewish place of the dead - also referred to as the grave. Jesus said that we will rest in peace until He returns to resurrect the dead and transfigure the living believers. Ask any Jew if they believe in heaven and hell as a place we go when we die and they will say no. They were Greek pagan concepts.

As with any journey, Faith is a highway discovered by choice. The scenary, experience and transformation of its travelers are unknown to those who invalidate that highway. No reason to bicker, debate, accuse, or try to convince. One needs only to step into the vehicle of Faith, turn the key and drive. Then, I'm certain that one will have their own story to tell, encouraging others to choose that holy highway. It leads to eternal LIFE - the one that really counts, and never ends!

One thing that puzzles me is that when he was in heaven he saw the holy spirit. I understand the holy spirit has been sent to earth to comfort and protect us Christians. Maybe he saw another side of God in which he interpreted it as the holy spirit.
In the book and audio book when his dad ask him about Satan he just froze. I guess Satan and hell was so terrible that words could not express the evil of Satan and hell. Yes heaven is real and hell is too.. we have to make a choice.

I studied the bible & found that Elisha left his body to follow his servant as he was deceiving Elisha. The prophet even said that he was watching him in spirit. What validation!

To get into heaven, you have to REPENT of your sins and BELIEVE the gospel of Jesus Christ (ref. Mark 1:15). You have to REPENT of your sins--that means turn from them and BELIEVE that Jesus died for your sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. Having done these things, you will be born again and the Lord Jesus Christ will help you to walk uprightly. You will read the word (the Authorized King James Bible)

Therefor you can decide whether you want to believe God created the universe or whether the "Big Bang" caused the creation of the universe. Personally I choose to believe there is a god and he created the universe rather than the opposing argument, some gases exploding caused such an amazing universe. Study Biology and you will truly believe there is no way we could have been created by 'chance'.

@85mageproductz You can't disprove the flying spaghetti monster, or a celestial teapot orbiting saturn, but I'm certain you don't believe those things exist either. Just because something can't be disproved doesn't automatically enforce it's probability or truth. I may not be able to disprove god, but It's quite easy to establish an argument for the vast improbability of God, whereas you wouldn't be able to make a convincing argument in God's existence with Holy text, and faith.

2 Counter arguments to your statement.
1) I can disprove the flying spaghetti monster as a spaghetti does not meet the required MRSGREN characteristics to be considered 'living'. As for a teapot orbiting Saturn, if someone were to place a teapot in amongst the outer remnants of Saturn and measure it's orbit for the full 29.7years then it could be proven right? (I'm no space expert so I could be wrong)
2) Many people have made convincing arguments for god? Google is your friend.

@85mageproductz You're missing the point - because then I would just say something like: I know the flying spaghetti monster exists, I was touched by his noodly appendage etc. and can make an argument based on faith, from personal experience, holy scripture, etc. which incidentally proves nothing. The Idea of GOD isn't any different, because it's so easy to make up why god exists by saying it's out of human comprehension. With the teapot I can just add that it's too small to be seen.

I have never read a convincing argument for god - and Google is nothing more than a tool that uses Boolean logic. Something that's a closer 'friend' than google would be you're neocortex.

Faith can be inspired, too. So if you have doubts, ask in prayer that the truth be revealed. I have faith now and didn't before. Pray to God, even if you don't believe, and tell him you have a willing heart to be shown the truth of himself and his son. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain :)

the bible said the earth was a circle looooong before we went into space, over 100 prophecies in the Bible have come true about Jesus. In psalms there is a prophecy about Jesus being crucified. that was written over 1000 years before crucifixion was even invented. recently scientists have found horse bones and chariot wheels at the bottom of the red sea. the fact is....there is proof the bible is true, but because of the eternal consequences of unbelief, ppl cant wrap their minds around it.

Perhaps there was a man Named Robin Hood just like there was Jesus, in which the stories carry subtle details that are accurate, and most of which have been embellished over the years to enhance story telling. The stories of Jesus was written by Josephus, who was jewish and very law observant, 600 years after the apparent crucifixion. Yet there are no real records of a man named Jesus

@omega1dreamer Documentary theorists see a much more complicated story, with four different texts by four different authors (although some think "schools" of authors might be responsible for each text rather than a single author). These were later combined by an editor, called the Redactor. The Redactor sometimes put the different authors' stories one after the other (as with the creation stories) and sometimes interwove them (as with the two stories of Noah's Flood).

there is more evidence backing up the bible than any history book taught in schools. The bible was written in 3 different languages, in 3 different countries, over 1500 years, by 40 different ppl. there are manuscripts from over a thousand years ago backing the bible. you're gunna say 40 ppl over that period who never met, wrote about the same thing and didnt screw up, but it be a lie? yeah right..HA! there is scientific, historical, and geographical proof the bible is true

There are three stories of a patriarch traveling among pagans and pretending his wife is his sister. There are two stories of Moses striking a rock to produce water. There are two versions of the Ten Commandments (one in Exodus, one that Moses recaps in Deuteronomy) with slightly different wording. .

I suffer badly from sleep paralysis (look it up) and get attacked by a Daemon nearly every night. I know they don't exist, but man, when its ripping me apart they surely do.
The kid was ill, and its amazing what the brain does when you are ill...
I feel for these people, I really do, but man, halucinations and unreal situations are part of my life now, I still dont think there are Daemaons, and neither does my consultant.

What's sad is that most believers in Jesus's actions are so soft yet straight forward in how they feel; however, the ones who go against this idea of seeing heaven, you act as if you have no good in you what so ever. As a Christian who was once like you all believing anything but the Bible and making it my mission to make others see it my way. I just finished reading this book and my faith is stronger now and my thoughts on Heaven and Jesus are even more real to me. After losing my 4 yr old grandson recently in a car crash I needed to be reassured that he was with Jesus and I could just picture him sitting on Jesus' lap as I read this book that I could hardly put it down until I finsihed it. Shortly after the Dr. told us Shane didn't make it I clearly heard The Lord tell me to be absent from the body is to be present with The Lord!!

@maggiemaybug1982 wrong. Faith that is NOT based on proof. The statue of Liberty is there, you can see it anytime. you can see real life pictures of it, streamed video, from any date of its arrival. To oversimplify faith in a quirky statement tantamount to "Just because you haven't seen the Statue of Liberty doesn't make it not real" shows quite well the great marketing of logic religion has taken hostage.

We know nothing so whats the point in arguments, no one knows rock all on this, i had a out of body experience and in that state saw my body in bed asleep, i could also see in the dark in that state clearly and i felt better than i ever did with a cocoon of warmth around me no beer , drugs .. just happened i don't know why and i am not interested why much because i will never know why either... not by reading anything or askin anybody .

I saw where someone asked, if God created all who created God? God is the Alpha and Omega. He has always been. It's impossible for the human mind to try to reason it out. As humans we have a tendancy to want to have all the answers. What we need to do is realize that there are some things we are just not capable of understanding. I can't tell you how to understand that God has always been. I can tell you that once you see God work in your life there is no denying Him.

I have not read this book nor do I know much about it. What I do know is that for some reason some non believers feel the need to tear down the beliefs of others. This is surely from the evil one, but take heart for as Jesus says “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

Loved the Book, I belive that the little boy did go to heaven, and I believe that God uses people like this little boy, to try and wake people up, and know that there is a very real Heaven and Hell. For those of you who don't believe in an after life I really feel sorry for you. But just know you have all been warned.

@debnic88 - question for you - if God created everything - what created God? Where did he come from? You cannot get something from nothing, so God must have his own God who created him. And that God must have their own God. And so on. Why are you Christian in the first place? Your environment - family, school, education etc. If you were born in a remote part of Sri Lanka, you would most likely be Buddhist for the same reasons. Think about it....

i don't understand why people can believe that the Titanic actually sank, and that other events happened because they were documented but disbelieve the bible totally. The bible is just a documentation of events that happened before any of us were here. Isn't that exactly what the events in the history books are? The only excuse that one can give me is that I can't see God so he doesn't exist. If I could see an almighty all-knowing God wouldn't that mean that he isn't God? I love God always!!

God is real. He is the one who created us and he is the one that sent his son Jesus to save us from our sins. I believe this with all of my heart, soul, body, and mind. Having a four year old visit Heaven to me makes more sense to me because little kids are able to believe easier than an adult. Also the little kids would be more willing to talk about what happened to them, more so than an adult who would feel peer pressure not to talk about it because of fear someone might make fun of them.

Exactly why this is bogus! Kids have a HUGE imagination. My students (6th graders) have created worlds and planets and crazy characters in their writings. It's why people indoctrinate kids when they're young; they will believe anything an grown up throws at them. Why doesn't God show himself to an Atheist scholar? That makes more sense to me. Not some little kid who had a dream!

@Pearlcussion With due respect, you are not the arbiter was what truth is.You talk about fact as though you have certainty about these things.Facts are our observations of occurrences and our interpretations of them.Truth is the end of the matter that only God the creator sees and allows us to see in His own time.As an example one could say (rightly from his perspective) that the sun rises in the east when a truer evaluation is that the earth rotates toward the east so the sun is viewed there.

@PaulFLUS I talk about fact, because EVERYONE is certain about it... Fact's are not interpretations, facts are things that exist whether or not we are there to observe them. Mathematics is a universal language that is beyond observation, it is one of the most pure forms of truth. 1+1 will always = 2, no matter what you interpret or try to juxtapose, or on what planet or galaxy. You can also thank science for finding out that the earth revolves around the sun causing it to look that way not god

I don't care how long it took or how natural selection played into it, that is tremendously more improbable than anything that you could argue. This book is AMAZING!!!!! No question about it.....Having to "prove" that God is real is the exact opposite of everything God stands for, that defeats the purpose of "faith". If that's the case I can PROVE GOD IS REAL BECAUSE I FEEL HIM WITH ME, IN MY SPIRIT, ALL THE TIME. There's your "proof". GOD IS REAL, JESUS IS COMING .... Whose side are you fighting for?!
