  • Not much of a wheel slip really, good control by the driver I would say.

  • Yes it can do a burn out....but the question is.......can it do a wheelie?

  • @balling3891 Wheelie..No... Burnout..kind of, if you count wheelslip, but If a train wheelslips too long it will damage the rails.

  • My late father loved her the pride of the LMS

  • @Avatar230594 close the regulator briefly to see if the engine will regain its footing with less power and if necessary drop sand on the rails

  • How do you counteract a slip?

  • STEAM LOCOS SLIP MOST OF THE TIME WHEN STARTING UP YOUVE JUST

    GOT TO REACTE FAST

  • do they use that train to make the harry potter movies?

  • @izwolle no

  • @izwolle No. The Locomotive in the films is Olton Hall, a GWR Hall class engine re-painted from Bunswick Green to 'Hogwarts Red'. There is a standing joke about the name 'Hogwarts Castle' indicating that the Hall wants to be a, more superior, Castle Class. (Rough GWR naming convention dictates that the engines class was in its name) Oddly, the Hornby model is not of a Hall but of a Castle.

  • AWSOME LOVED IT

  • Burnout!

  • Large drivers equals wheel slip. Very classy locomotive.

  • Gorgeous

  • The engineer is good on the throttle, is this the Harry Potter train?

  • @canadiantimberwolf1 The Driver is great on the Regulator :P. No thats a engine called Olton Hall renamed Hogwarts Castle for the film. (The Hall that thinks its a Castle lol.)

  • I'm not an excpert with these classes of engines but weren't wheel slips pretty comen when they first start off

  • @Henryfan3 Thats a LMS Princess Coronation Class. Same class as 'Duchess Of Sutherland' & 'Duchess Of Hamilton'. Although this one looks so, so different without the smoke deflectors!! I don't think they look as elegant without the Deflectors.

  • @whitewingsrich incorrect sir, it is actually a 'Princess Royal' class of 1933 and at the time of their construction were the largest locos on the LMS. The Coronation Pacifics came 3-4 years later. This was the second loco of the class, one of 2 that survived, the other being Princess Margaret Rose
