this man speaks the truth... care to listen anybody? the EU has been a private money club since it's inception - from the joining of steel and coal industries for the exclusive benefit of the opening members (france, benelux, germany and italy) tothe disastrous CAP which is morally incomprehensable and directly responsible for what has happened to english farming methods/traditions and for the overwhelming poverty which persists in africa, they pretend this dumping below market price is aid?WTF?
there are disadvantages as well - in 10 years we would only have US-style agriculture in the EU if it were scrapped.. and it can only be done if France and Germany are temporarily kicked out of the EU...
which means "The Lisbon Treaty must be given a vote". This is a reflection of the famous words with which Cato the Elder ended every speech he made in the Roman Senate calling upon the people and Senate of Rome to recognise the danger of Carthage to the Roman state and the need to destroy it before it destroyed Rome. He ended his speeches with the words:
I love daniel hannan. Scrapping the cap would be one the best things for this world. It would pump nearly $4B into 3rd world economies, and our food would be cheaper. It also would save the EU tens of millions collectively, and would cost nothing. It would be like beyond epic win FTW. It would be like Epic win-epic win- epic win. The policy win would be so big, we'd need a word winner than win.
That word would be sovereignty. Consumer sovereignty. Not producer-tyranny. Since mankind produces in a division of labour to take a greater product from it than he could gain by non-cooperative production, he is led to mutually-adjust to use his capacities in some way to serve his fellow men. When producers gain the power to force consumers to patronise their wares then they have abrogated the cooperation principle and do not wish for efficiency. This fucks the consumer-everyone!
I guess the differance between the Parliament and the U.S. Congress is that the former has mostly empty SEATS, and the later has mostly empty HEADS, however BOTH can arrive at the same stupid policies. AMAZING!!!!
I swear seeing the empty seats in that hall and compare it to the legislature in the US - I think there should be a law that you need to show up for your work X number of days a year to earn your salary...
Outstanding as always. A sound sense of fairplay and logic are so rare these days, I find myself practically clinging to Hannan's every word. Lucky UK to have him.
Well I sort of agree with him, in particular that it would be good for the developed world and we could probably cut our aid back. However the flaw being they can't cut it unless everyone else (US and Japan) do the same.
our food economy is run for the benefit of Arthur Daniels Midland. They buy the representatives and their integrity is ground up into small pieces, which is then feed to us in soilent green.
david cameron needs to go to the labour party since his policy isnt conservative
hannan be our new prime minister
the isolated people in the conservative party usualy do the conservative thing
remember Winston Churchill? he was just like you .... isolated in the party but it turns out he became one of the if not the greatest PM in our ONCE great nation
Hannan is great and i must admit that im a massive fan, Ive bought and read his book and im dissappointed not to see it advertised in his description. Its a good book. But you should seriously look at UkIP and Nigel Farage. The pair of them(Nigel & Daniel) Know their stuff when it comes to economics and freedom.
But the conservaties dont offer that. I like to think Dan has enough influence in the Torys but not enough. Check out Europarl. ukipwebmaster and ukipmedia on youtube.
Yeah, but Hague is number 2, you can rely on him, plus there is a good chance that Hannan will be promoted within the Conservative party due to his success in Europe and America
Don't talk shit from across the pond about our ONLY man in congress that stands up and speaks out in support of individual liberty. He has his flaws but he is a true statesman and a blessing to our country.
Democracy needs a major makeover, it has been around too long so the leeches, criminals and careerists over time have found its weak spots and thus turned the system toxic!
It tells a story that only a few men actually takes their job seriously and not only cashes in on the fortunes of payment (not that the EU parliament is a serious at all, it barely has any influence on the decision making).
