    Working on having the vehicle, whatever it may be depending on what the player chooses, simply being destroyed (removed).

  • @USMCG0811 it would be great if you could leave pieces of the car visible, so its able to be identified as the vehicle that blew up. Having it removed completely, IMO, wouldn't be realistic or accurate. But, i Haven't seen many vbied's to know how one looks like when blown up.

    I'm a Army Combat Engineer. I've seen plenty detonate and what's left is solely determined by the device, components, vehicle type, and amount of explosives contained inside. That said, there is only so much I can do via modding and with the current engine limitations. I'd rather have it be completely destroyed instead of a flaming hulk rolling around the map.

  • Amazing and also terrifying work! Maybe u Sir can answer the question what the big bombs are called that the USAF was throwing on Tora Bora in 2001 (I mean those new very huge bombs which shall be the strongest non nuclear from what I remember) and I mean that those would be good to be ingame sometime if possible to build. And I am still hoping for B-1 and B-2 ... ;-) Kind regards!

    They utilized Daisy Cutters/BLU-82's (FAE or Fuel-Air Explosive). A shitload of them. They've been around since the Vietnam War, are typically pushed out of a C-130 on a cargo ramp, at which point a parachute deploys and it free-falls until detonation. My understanding is we no longer have any left in our inventory.

    Yes and no. Those two were in the 1151's at the time. The game engine determines that the explosion was a catastrophic hit and thus they disembark.

    So im assuming a stand alone addon for these to picked up and placed down in the editor and its good to go from there? I tinkered around with a few from a1 and a2 scripting an explosion type from a trigger radius, but imagine these will be standalone and have there own parameters on when to explode?

    That's my intention, mate. I'm hoping this will be something that can be utilized for the PvP type stuff. I'm also trying to include a semblance realism.. i.e. a moronic IED emplacer is just as likely to kill himself as he is others. We'll see how it works out.
