But I can give you a solid place to start: First write down all your reasons for wanting to be a girl, and write out answers to any objections you think they might raise. Be able to show that it's not something new and sudden, and that you've done research. Express that you'll do it one day eventually anyway, but it would be healthier to start now with their help & support

Start with that and then look for posts on what not to say and look for posts from parents with trans kids. If you can, contact your local PFLAG chapter and meet them or look them up online if you can't meet them. I strongly suggest meeting them in person. When it comes time though, there will be nothing you can do but take the plunge and try to help your parents understand.

@WyllowRose While there are obvious advantages to transitioning young, if you truly feel you were meant to be another sex (or don't "fit" with how you were born) then I don't think it's ever too late to start either. Keep in mind though that no matter how amazingly it may be portrayed by a YouTube video, it is a painful and emotional process that will probably have intense consequences on your life as you know it (as it did mine). Ask yourself: is it that important to me? For me, it was.
