im 29 weeks and 4 days and due to me being diabetic im being induced a week early. seiously all i can say is gosh i hope my water breaks on its own, or heck give me the pitocian, no balloon for me
omg im so scared!! lol and im past due already im 40 weeks and 5 days :( im being induce on monday and im scared its going to take for ever!! BTW my cervix is still closed =(
i dropped my jaw seeing how delivery is literally being carried out! O.o i'm going to be a mom few weeks from now. i pray i could really cope up with this.
@lesheavensent Sorry to hear you are so worried. If you have any questions, you can email me. I help expecting moms reduce their stress and fear and feel more confident at prenataljourney.ca
She is lucky she did not get a C-section. The increased number of inductions today is the reason why we have such an increase on cesareans in this country. They tell you here to research risks/side effects of being induced, but how many moms really do that when they see this video. What they don't tell you is that when you are induced the natural endorphins that are secreted as pain reliever during a non induced / unmedicated labor are absent. That makes the pain unbearable.
@angeloftearsx A woman's vagina and a man's penis are medically known as as 'reproductive organs' meaning the reason we have them is to create life. Yes, there are other parts in them that we use to urinate (pee) but the main reason is for having babies. A woman's body only has a vagina for this reason.
oh men! my due date was 6days ago and just arrived from the clinic now.. its my 40weeks today. the midwife checked my cervix and told me that there is no sign of contractions and in fact, my cervix closes a li'l bit! i dont want to be induced so im hoping not to pass 42weeks! oh God...i dont want to be induced.
@angeloftearsx its the same place that the women has intercourse in. The vagina is the only safest place for the baby to come out of because thats how a womens body is made
@angeloftearsx because the vagina is the opening to where a baby comes out, sometimes there are things called a c-section, where they cut the belly to gget the baby out
when i went to the hospital i was 6cm dilated and hadnt feel no contractions i thought i was blessed until they check me back later and i was only 7cm then de darn people decide to induce me to get to the full 10cm, it was sooo painful but fast the easiest part was pushing out my daughter now im pregnant again i won't let them induce me again unless they have to not like we does epidurals we have to bear every last drop of pain
i'm 39 weeks & i have only 3 days to go, but my belly is still kinda high, i dnt feel the baby down my belly, and my doctor told me that the baby's head didn't move to the pelvic bones yet.. it should've moved abut a week ago as a preparation to come out.. also the head is down, but the baby looks towards my belly, it should look towards my back.. can anyone helps me wz this?as i'm worried to be forced to a c-section
@venajoe911 Unless your baby is exceptionally large, it might not hurt to wait the week out. When in doubt, there's always the Italian Induction method (:
thx for reply.. unfortunately the induction didn't work out & i had a c-section finally after about 10 hours induction.. i suffered them both, but i had a cute little angle..
All of my children had to be induced because I contract but I don't dialate. The only thing is being induced makes contractions stronger. Just don't tense up and breathe through them. Relax as much as possible. You'll do ok. And remember there are always drugs!!! LOL
good video im currently now 40wks and effacing is slow my due date is tomorrow but im not ripe enough. they will be inducing me next week. But i am SO gettin the epadural!!!
I got induced at 39 weeks as I had pre-clampsia.. The midwives induced me twice as I was not going into labour. The labour I only had was the lower back pain and some discharge. I did not dilate at all. This took 20 hours then I had a c-section as my OB and midwives said I could be like this for 4 days.
Ladies, make sure the induction is truly medically necessary. The risks are too great otherwise, Go to PCNGuide.com to learn the facts and possible alternatives to medical induction.
I'm getting induced in 23 days, the day after Thanksgiving. Giving birth has always scared me and I'm still trying to get my strength up to get through it. How this the process overall?
i just gave birth to my son 2 weeks ago and I went through 13 hours of labor by induction. Natural all the way without any drugs. the pitocin works but twice the pain.
@reach0dhananjay you cant phisically have a baby obviously, where do you come from because i think they may do it differently in different countrys !!
I wound up being induced just a week before my due date because the doctor didn't want him to get bigger. But I was just happy to hear him cry for the first time. He weighed 7 lbs 9.7 oz and 20 inches long born on November 3, 09 at 10:05 pm.

How did this come up when I was searching "natural labor induction" If I wanted a Pitocin induction, I'd get it. This woman isn't even to her due date! Ridiculous! Birth is a natural process, I'm not interested in a million medical interventions!
@reallirhonda Sometimes you need it, though. Like for my baby, he may be swimming around in his meconium and could be drinking it. We need to get him out.
@FalseDisposition yes of course...I had midwives and hoped for a natural birth. But even I knew to go with the flow. I was in labor for 3 days with ROM and only dilated to 1cm so had to be induced (and it sucked--I'll tell you first hand) I ended up w c-section. Just feel if you can do it naturally (even w epidural without pitocin) that is best. Now I'm pregnant again (only after 6 months post part.) and actually need another C-section. I'm at peace w it. Good luck to the lucky ones!
I was a week overdue and I was only 2 cm and had been for a couple weeks. When I was on pitocin my baby's heart rate dropped, when I was off it, I didn't progress. So after 12 hours of labor, waiting too long before I finally asked (and got) my epidural, I was only 3 cm even after breaking my water. So ultimately the safest thing to do was have a c section. So I did. It wasn't too bad. I thought I'd go without epidural, I was wrong, I'll definitely get it earlier if I have another baby!
I had pitocin cause I wouldn't go into labour after my water broke, for half a day I was in no pain but once pitocin was given, 4 hrs later I had my son
