HISTORY LESSON :This song wasn't written by Hank Williams, It was written by a brother/uncle of the family that lived next door to my Grandma his nieces and nephews parents or at least there mother died or left, he slept in the garage and was known for writing songs they where all over the house but one night before he died he wrote this song on the back of a crisco can, I believe it was on Edna road in north Texas. I think his name was Jack Roach.

Lovesick Blues may of made his star take off like a comet but this is a favorite for sure. This is about the reason that us guys often end up lovesick or heartbroken. It's got a lyrical quality as good as anything written and like he says here, this song took care of him and that's because his listeners loved it. No wonder, so simple but great flow and the repitition of the one line works perfect. Try to write a song and find words that rhyme with "Heart" and still make it sound good.
