If it's an elective procedure they should have a right to say no to the patients. In fact some plastic surgeon's turn away patients whom they feel have had too much plastic surgery in this line of thinking according to you it would be wrong to turn the patient away.

@saltheadd: When I say that children can't consent to sex with an adult; I thougt it was pretty clear that I meant in a legal sense. This is because they're considered too young to resist coercion. Grown people, conversely, can make their own decisions legally and morally.
Homosexuality's illegality in certain places has nothing to do with any kind of sense; it's a religious phenomenon.

In order not to be a bigot yourself you have to be neutral. This word does nothing but promote neutrality. A christian counciler was fired from her job for being honest to a homosexual woman who came seeking her services. She kindly refered her to a collegue she knew could council her but the woman complained later.

It's not about denying them emergency medical care. Why should a christian OBGYN be forced to inpregnate a gay couple when there are other OBGYN's that would be willing to do it? because of their sin they want doctors to sin against their own beliefs?

@usapegasus007 you misunderstand the doctor's they are refering to in the ad are specialist such as plastic surgeon's, OBGYN's, Fertility Doctor's, ones who do elective surgeries as well as necessary ones. If it's an elective procedure they should have a right to say no to the patients. In fact some plastic surgeon's turn away patients whom they feel have had too much plastic surgery in this line of thinking according to you it would be wrong to turn the patient away.

@usapegasus007 in fact if they can't say no on the basis of their morals on an elective procedure, for instance a sex change or reconstructive facial surgery to alter the gender, then that would be saying that they have to do elective surgery on anyone who walks into their office no matter what their age is. Would the LGBT stand by a doctor who refused a seven year old trangendered female facial reconstruction to make them look like the gender of their choice? Somthing tells me they wouldn't.

Think of it this way. you say a transgendered person is someone not comfortable with the sex they were born as they feel as if they should have been born the opposite of their birth gender. Think of Faith as a gender, if you force a doctor to do an elective procedure that goes against that it would make them uncomfortable.
