Wow! Really enjoyed that footage. I have been going to the KIngs River since 68 but by then the races went the other direction, toward the bridge upriver. See a video of my boat leaving Club Royal Oak a few miles upriver from Riverland where the races took place. The bridge is the 99.
Great footage. I wasnt around back then but have heard countless stories about races back in those days. It;s good to finally see more footage from then. I can't believe have close the boats ran to the shore (oh ya, and spectators) at Kings river.
