  • From 2004 to 2008

  • This is the best era!

  • Happy New Year 2010 to all

  • you can't deny...i believe this to be the best breakfiller BBC had. it seemed so much more informative. LOVE IT!

  • You cannot 'reject history'. However, you can,at best, psychologically deny that it ever happened (as I do!)

  • thx for me!

i have on 2003-2004 BBC WORLD on Poland :)

  • I remember seeing that on cable TV in France. Is there a way to *only* get the music (without the talking etc.)?

  • I'm sure there is a way to get the music alone. Have to do some research.

  • @chaosdimension24 Any information?

  • haha look at the stock markets, going up, not now!

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!! BBC World music is awesome!!! 2003/2004 is the best too!!! I used to leave the tv on JUST to hear the music haha!!! Especially the breakfillers!!! Thanks mate!!!

  • LOL! I have a "bbc World 2001-2003 over 7 minutes" video also if u haven't seen it.

No problem! and glad u enjoyed it.

  • The music was better then than it is now! Now it's a bit flat..

  • I agree.

  • me too.

    excellent work btw.

do you have a vid for the period just before the new graphics now? like the strings. wanna make a comparision.

  • Very Good!

  • thanks!

  • This was the best breakfiller BBC World had. I could notice the recording is from May 2005 because the topic for this week's Talking Point program was the 60th anniversary of the end of WWII in Europe. And the best of all this presentations were 1: the world map showing where's the sunlight across the Globe, and 2: the showing of the main headline across the Globe in the BBC News opening (here it's "Taiwan warning").

  • Can we get them to reinstate it?

  • Amazing! I was in London in May '04 and distinctly remember this Breakfiller! I've never forgotten it and here it is. I Love BBC World and am fortunate to be able to see it here in Philly, PA. Thanks for posting!

  • me 2,was there in in may 2004 also

  • i miss this so much. i don't like the current breakfiller. Its so boring.

  • Can we escalate this?

  • cool

  • This was always my favourite; not too happy, not to sad. The subsequent one was too jolly. Last time I watched, they seemed to have disbanded such breakfillers.

  • just hearing these tunes brings back memories of my travelling days ! nice one.

  • It's very sad, but I remember dancing to this in the shower at the Radisson Hotel in Warsaw! (There was a speaker in the bathroom.)

  • whoa awsome hotel

  • I would recommend the hotel but Poland even more, if you've not been

  • BBC World used to be much better than it is now (2008). The music used in the breakfillers, like the one in this video clip, was actually pleasing to listen to unlike the arcade machine sounds they have now (2008) which is irritating.

  • omg I agree with you 100%...now everything is all still images and like you said arcade music...and there are more adverts everywhere! I guess everything good eventually will suck...

  • Thanks Gentlemen for posting this video as this music has become extinct from bbc news. This has been one of my favourites.

the new music coming in between breaks in really boring.

  • No problem :)

  • How did you manage to get four minutes' worth? The most I ever saw was about two and a half!

  • better than the annoying idents and openings shown on BBC ONE and TWO in the UK. The idents shown on these channels these days are not as good as they once were (i.e. 1997 balloon idents).

  • I live in Britain I have to say that I tend to watch CNN and not the BBC or ITN

  • Yeah i loved getting up in the morning and listening to this

  • @ForestChannel me too i loved it in spain in 2004 nice!!!! so cart beleve i found it

  • Best BBC World breakfiller. The whole design of BBC World (even down to program openings) is just sublime. LOVE IT. Thanks so much for this btw!!

  • No Problem man :)

  • Wow the Dow Jones and Nasdaq were reallllly low back then...

  • LOL

  • this is awesome! i love the breakfiller! thanks! any more bbc world is greatly appreciated :]

  • lol sure no probs man. I'm a bbc world fan myself. I have more vids if u didnt check them already. Just click my username at the info box upper right. Laterz!

  • Thanks! I wish i had BBC World on my TV. Very few people have it here in the USA

  • i think he got that from Red Bee Website...

  • Nope i didnt, maybe one of the clips but generally i put the vids together to make one video.

  • breakfiller always starts with new zealand in the background. brilliant!

  • More than 4 minutes the breakfilter

  • i was so angry the day they replaced that breakfiller music with the rubbish track they have now

  • I couldn't agree more.

  • I agree.. they replaced this great music with archaic video game style music that resembles background tv hash! I used to love watching bbc and listening to this soundtrack while away on work/hols.. Any idea where I can find the actual recording?

  • yeah as u said that and i thought about it, i have to agree.

  • The breakfiller music is a bit "ghostly"
